Brief synopsis of 24 - Season 1

Jack Bauer is a Federal agent who heads up the Counter Terrorist Unit. He is given the task of preventing an assassination attempt on Presidential candidate, Senator David Palmer. The 'assassin' is believed to be working on the inside of the Government and Jack may trust no-one. When Jack's family are abducted and the authorities suspect Jack of attempted murder, he turns to colleague Nina Myers who is his friend and confidant... Filmed in real time, Jack faces the worst twenty-four hours of his life as he battles for the recovery of his family and a government mole.

Rated - 5 stars24 The Greatest Programme To Hit Our Screens

Millsey from Hastings [Highly rated reviewer] , 24/04/2007

I don't know where to start with 24, its so good damn good it should be illegal and nothing I say could do it any justice, its a great programme filmed in real time, Season 1 is the lamest of all the seasons, and its still brilliant, its a great stepping stone to be introduced to the stars of the show.

If you've not started to watch 24, please please please start now, you'll thank me for it.

Well.........What you waiting for....Go Get It.

this series is awesome!

Brilliantly written, great acting, lots of suspense and plot twists - I couldnt wait for the next disk arrive so I could carry on watching the rest of the series. Kiefer Sutherland made a great career move by taking on the part of the government agent, whose wife and daughter(who is gorgeous by the way!) are kidnapped and in danger unless he helps some terrorists assassinate a presidential candidate.

Unfortunatley, I missed the series when it was shown on TV (How could I). This has to be the best TV series ever. I have only just watched the first four episode's, roll on the others. I'm currently on the edge on my seat waiting with baited Breath, iching to see them!!!!!

Great series, but bit of a pain you have to wait to see the next four episodes via the next disk. Never really got into it whilst on tv as you had to wait a week for the next episode.

Rated - 5 starsGot 24 hours to spare?

Robert Warner from England , 02/06/2004

This is the DVD equivalent of a Airport Novel page turner ? and no bad thing for that! I challenge you not to become completely hooked after viewing the first disc in this 6 disc series.

The original conceit in this series is that it all unfolds in ?real time? and follows the trials and tribulations of special agent Jack Bauer over a rather long and challenging 24 hours.

This is an excellent example of its type ? select it and enjoy!
