Brief synopsis of Shrek the Third

The big Scottish green guy's back, and someone wants to make the poor blighter king. Even more unfortunate than the promise of looming monarchy, however, is the fact that Prince Charming has taken it upon himself to invade the kingdom of Far Far Away with an army of villains at his back. Let the next twisted fairy tale in the Shrek series commence!

Shrek the Third takes the form of an action brawler, setting Shrek and his ragtag bag of buddies on the road to saving the kingdom. Fans have a range of characters to choose from, including the green ogre himself, Donkey, Puss-in-Boots, Fiona, Fiona's rebellious cousin Arthur Pendragon and her fellow fairytale belle, Sleeping Beauty.

Players will need to rescue pals, tackle Charming's less than charming henchmen, gather fairytale collectibles and get into boss skirmishes. Each character has his or her own special moves to get to grips with, including Shreks Ogre Power, Fionas Flying Kick, Puss N Boots somewhat non-threatening sounding Cute Puss, Sleeping Beautys even more non-threatening sounding Swoon attack, and Arties Power of Excalibur.

Also thrown in for good measure are six multiplayer mini games, dubbed Castle Attack, Shrekleboard, Frog Herder, Shooting Gallery, Catacombs Leap and Ships Ahoy.

Everyone's favourite big green monster is back in action for an upcoming movie based game. Playing as Shrek, Donkey, Puss in boots, Fiona, Sleeping Beauty and Artie(Fionas cousin) your job is to defend far far away from Prince Charming and his gang through 20 levels of platform gaming!

Why would a great franchise let me down so? Apart from shrek going uber ogre, this game is boring to watch and play.

Rated - 4 starsA Triumphant Return for Shrek

Its a simple game which uses the capabilities of the Wii to full affect.

As a stand alone console game Shrek the Third would be far to easy for any gamer. What makes the game work however is the introduction of the Wii remote. The interaction of the console, remote and user don't make the game any harder but what it does is make the game alot more enjoyable.

In my humble opinion this is where the Wii should be aiming, no need to complicate things or over analyse Wii games (anyone who wanted that would have choosen another console) instead just aim for good interactions that involves entertainment and fun.
