Brief synopsis of Wedding Daze

After losing the woman of his dreams, Anderson (Biggs) is convinced he'll never fall in love again. Rated - 4 starsI'm getting married......to this guy!

I've just got back from a preview screening of this film, and I must say, I'm quite impressed.

After a spectaculary failed proposal to his girlfriend, Anderson (Jason Biggs) decides to pull himself out of the dating game and wallow in depression. A year later, and his best friend is trying his best to get Anderson to move on. And move on he does, proposing to his waitress, Katie (Isla Fisher), who enthusiastically accepts.

What follows is a great blend of comedy and romance, as the pair try to adjust to their bizarre situation as well as convincing their families that they aren't totally crazy.

Biggs (basically playing American Pie's Jim again) and Fisher (who I can see big things for) have great chemistry, and you really end up rooting for the two of them as the film progresses. The supporting characters are good too, with Anderson's sex obsessed parents being a particularly vulgar standout, and Katie's circus friend Matador cutely oddball.

It won't win any awards for originality, but Wedding Daze is a cute, fluffy romcom with some hillariously obscene jokes thrown in for good measure.

You could do a lot worse.

Jason Biggs plays the Jason Biggs character. Isla 'Mrs Borat' Fisher plays the kooky redhead (Alyson Hannigan obviously read the script and ran for the hills).

She's a waitress in a diner. For no reason that makes sense, he asks her to marry him. For no reason whatsoever, she says yes. Cue various shennanigans as these two strangers prepare for their marriage.

If that sounds like a poor premise for a movie, it is. There isn't one funny moment in the entire film - not one. The actors try to cover the holes by being 'zany' and 'kooky', but that just makes things worse. The chemistry between the leads is non-existent.

This is as had a piece of commercially packaged rubbish as I've seen. Okay, it's not particularly offensive, as such. But Hollywood shouldn't get away with churning out garbage like this.

Rated - 4 starsUnlikely story.....but it works!

A customer from North London , 30/05/2007

Ok the plot of this movie is OTT and really unlikely BUT I quite enjoyed this film. I think the chemistry between all the actors really translated well on screen. You just got the feeling they had a hoot of a time. I have to say romantic chemistry between Biggs and Fisher was missing, but that didn't seem to matter. The movie is very funny! It's a bit like American Pie just slightly more grown up. Perhaps the fact that I liked the movie so much was simply because Isla has a way of lighting up a screen. It's hard to see a movie with her in it and not feel like the sun came into your life for an hour and a half! That girl can certainly do magic! As for Mr. Biggs :I had no idea he was such a big boy! (excuse the pun!) Wayyyy-hayyyyy!

Go on boys and girls, do yourselves a favour and watch this funny rom com...it will make your day! PROMISE!

Lazy, lazy film making. Badly drawn characters, terribly acted. Awful script. Weak 'jokes'. Terrible 'plot'.

No redeeming features at all really.

And another akward father/son sex talk? Is this an homage to American Pie? Oh - it's just so horrible. Do not waste your precious time.
