Rated - 5 starsIt's unavailability makes it a must have!!

A customer from Globally Renowned , 24/11/2004

I thought I'd be imune from the hype but once it gets to you, it is impossible to ignore. It's 'unavailable' and that's what keeps you coming back for more -- a very astute piece of marketing.

The cinematography, artwork and direction are masterly. The CGI is excellent and advances computer SFX more than any film to date.

The esoteric questions asked by this title rival Bergman at his most phlegmatic: for instance, how temporary is 'temporarily'? Scary stuff.

If you see no other movie in your lifetime, catch this one! It's that good.

Michael Winner from Nowhere Man , 07/01/2005

This film is a dull piece of nothingness,

There is no plot, the story goes nowhere,The acting is empty and as for the ending!!!!!!!!!!!

I was left feeling I had been conned.

Rated - 5 starsUnavailable, cult classic or art-house tosh?

Christopher McReviewer from St.Helens, England , 30/11/2004

The pure brilliance of the overpowering use of blank space, the motionless screen, the deafening silence of a score so minimalist it's genius and the anti-packaging add up to one of the finest films unavailable today, moving in content this adaptation of the recent 'book temporarily unavailable' doesn't sell the original short. all in all a great piece of work that doesn't seem to attract the attention one feels it should.

if you can get the original japanese un-undubbed version, its worth the extra.

Rated - 5 starsWorth Waiting For

TrevorBevan from STROUD [Highly rated reviewer] , 05/05/2007

Well, what more can I usefully add to previous reviewers which will convey my innermost feelings about this masterpiece of suspense?

To begin with, I was quite disappointed that this disk took weeks to arrive. When it did eventually arrive, I was extremely grateful that it took so long to come in the first place.

There is very little plot or story line. Artistically and creativiely void. My recommendation is that, having watched this title, you refuse to return it in the little red envelope so that future viewers are put out of their misery.
