Based on the Aramoana Massacre that occurred on 13 November and 14 November 1990. Resident David Gray, an unemployed gun collector, went on a rampage in which 13 people were shot dead, before Gray himself was shot by police.

A very slow moving story, i have no doubt that when this actually happened in 1990 it must have been devestating.... putting that aside though as a film it just didnt work. we turned it off quite quickly but i had to find out what happened at the end. Very dissapointing.

How this film can be classed as slow is beyond me, this film was well put together, it let you get to know the victims in this tragic true story, and also the events that led up to it.please dont let the other review put you off this film.

I definitely wouldn't recommend this movie...I kept on hoping it would improve, but it didn't! Very slow moving and boring! :-(

Had never heard of this incident before and can only relate to it as a NZ Hungerford. Please do not let that put you off this movie.Other reviews here say it is 'slow',but there has to be a build up to get to know all those involved, this makes it all the more harrowing when the shootings happen.Had lost faith in any Kiwi films after watching 'Black Sheep' but this movie shows how good they can be.

Really rated this film. Very authentic and filmed as i would have been, not glamorised like Hollywood trash would. Comes highly recommended.
