Brief synopsis of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

The Order of the Phoenix is billed as Potter's most dangerous year in school yet. From the Dementor attack in Little Whinging to the epic battles at the Ministry of Magic, this game lets you experience all of the harrowing action of Harry's fifth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

With the wizarding world in denial about Voldemort's return, Harry recruits a small group of his fellow students and secretly trains them in practical defensive magic. The group christen themselves Dumbledore's Army.

Order of the Phoenix charges you with taking up Harry's wand to explore the dark corridors, secret rooms and extensive grounds of Hogwarts. You can compete in minigames, talk to enchanted portraits and perfect your spell-casting. So, sharpen your wizarding skills, boost your courage, and prepare to battle Lord Voldemort and his fearsome Death Eaters in Harry's most demanding and dangerous year yet.

Rated - 3 starsMagic at its Best! But.......

The graphics were fantastic in the new installment, but the how short was the game!

It seemed to be over in no time and missed out loads from the book.

There was various tasks to carry out within the game which made your gaming better and the magic spells you could do using the analogue stick were excellent!

I would recommend this game for all Harry Potter fans, but expect to finish it in a weekend.

Rated - 4 starsLooks great but...

...the gameplay is pretty basic and repetitive. I accept that it's probably aimed at the younger market so I won't make that my major gripe...

The most annoying part is Ron and Hermoine - they follow Harry around like shadows! If you guide him into a smallish area it takes ages trying to walk out again because those two are blocking your way. It just left me really wishing that I could cast a freeze spell on them and run away.

Also, if you have a task to complete but are taking your time for one reason or another you get Hermoine piping up every 15secs or so with that aaaaannnoying voice of hers 'keep your eye's open for gargoles' or 'you'll need to find a way to climb up there, Harry' etc etc. I ended up casting the levitation spell on heavy objects and accidently on purpose hitting her with them. Alot. Satisfying. Note: I do not condone violence but she IS annoying.

That said. the game is beautiful to look at and the characters freakishly realistic. I got quite addicted to the mini games too. Loads of fun.
