Brief synopsis of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

The Order of the Phoenix is billed as Potter's most dangerous year in school yet. From the Dementor attack in Little Whinging to the epic battles at the Ministry of Magic, this game lets you experience all of the harrowing action of Harry's fifth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

With the wizarding world in denial about Voldemort's return, Harry recruits a small group of his fellow students and secretly trains them in practical defensive magic. The group christen themselves Dumbledore's Army.

Order of the Phoenix charges you with taking up Harry's wand to explore the dark corridors, secret rooms and extensive grounds of Hogwarts. You can compete in minigames, talk to enchanted portraits and perfect your spell-casting. So, sharpen your wizarding skills, boost your courage, and prepare to battle Lord Voldemort and his fearsome Death Eaters in Harry's most demanding and dangerous year yet.

I got this bundled with my Wii and although I didn't enjoy it as much as the Prisoner of Azkaban, the graphics improved greatly and a large number of the film cast gave their voices to their characters in the game, including Rupert Grinn and Ralph Fiennes.

If you enjoy running around and exploring Hogwarts, then it's definitely fun. It can take quite some time to collect all of the points and the first few rewards you get from completing certain categories are good fun.

Using the Wii remote as your wand sounds like a really good idea at first, but it doesn't always work very well, particularly during duelling.

Unfortunately, the bits that were hyped up are actually the least interesting parts of the game. The fight between Voldemort and Dumbledore is hardly different from your average duel so don't expect any spells on the scale of those in the film.

What I really enjoyed about the game was the way it incorporated a lot of elements from the book that weren't in the film (e.g. Ron and Hermione being Prefects, etc.) and the mini-games were all a lot of fun.

The worst part of the game were the cutscenes. The graphics during those were quite poor and they seem really rushed. In fact, they could have just done without them if you ask me.

A real shame for this. With all the possibilities the game offered and it fell so short. Graphics are poor and the game play has you loose intrest very quickly. Glad i rented and didn't buy

This game is one of those things where you think 'I will never get those minutes (hours for slow people) back'. The cut scenes are far too long... after 10minutes I got to move chaires back and foward... wow!!! I had more fun posting it back.

It is much more entertaining listen (thats right, listen) to paint dry.

I played this game for an hour and started to get bored, it involves a lot of running about collecting objects and performing tasks for other people. My younger sister on the other hand loved it, she played for 5 days solid to complete it!

So, if you prefer a laidback, roll playing type game then go for it, more so if you have a Wii.

My 10 year old absolutely loved this game. There are lots of mini tasks to do and he really enjoyed using the Wii remote like a wand - there are different actions for different spells which gives it that edge over the PS2 games. The graphics are good and there is plenty to do.

Good for the kids and Harry Potter fans who will appreciate the detail.
