Rated - 3 starsGood game, to much of the same though...

Another year, another Need For Speed, this time back to the roots of the underground racing, more neon and car tuning than ever!

The story follows off after last years Most Wanted, but to be honest I never played it so I can't tell you much about that, the story though begins with the same idea of you working your rep up as you win more races.

This time though there are more features such as drifters, blockers etc. These basically work with you in the races and help to find shortcuts, block other drivers and basically try and help you to win. Once you begin to win more races you then have more areas to drive around and basically unlock them, again this has the free roaming features from the last game and occasionally the police chase after you and you have to outrun them.

Once you win races you get more money then you get to upgrade your car in performance as well as visually, in the modding section, there is now a new AutoScult feature which basically means you get to mould each piece of bodykit that you put on the car, so then it becomes more unique as it is totally you design,

Gameplay wise its not for die hard racing fanatics who look at every aspect of realism and tuning their car, instead its more of an arcadey game instead. There are average races around the areas that you unlocked, but there are also the drifting missions, this is when you have to skid the cars around corners as fast as you can basically, this is only the real problem I had with this can as I found it really annoying but that aside it is a good game.

On the graphics side it is good for the PS2 but if you looking for better then just get the game on another console as its still the same game.

Overall this is a good game, if you played last years Most Wanted then I don't know if I would bother as it may be pretty much the same, but if your new to the series, a fan of the old games or are just looking for racing fun, then try it out.

This is a great game and is in true need for speed style where you go up against oppenents to take over there area. You race great cars and can modify your car to suit your driving style.

This game is also great as you get to drive around before racing and the police chases are great
