Rated - 4 starsMissing a little something

Up to now I have been blindingly amazed by the quality of 24, but this one has toned that enthusiasm down a little.

It definitely lost its way on the second half of this series.

I even found myself impatient while watching it and wishing it would end soon.

It's definitely recoverable though!

In fact it has left me hoping they end all this middle-east terrorism stuff, and move onto a different theme.

There's only so many times I can watch the president be voted in or out of power, and only so many times I can watch Jack capture a bomb from terrorists hands after shouting:'Tell me where the bomb is!' to everyone on his way.

It seems they are missing out on opportunities to make thrilling viewing. They are building up great plots only to have them fall flat on their faces.

Rated - 3 starsDissappointing

Don't get me wrong, i'm a huge 24 fan. The first 2 series where as good as it gets. But they seem to have run out of ideas now. Plots are repeating themself and getting slightly (slighty!) boring.

Having said that, an average series of 24 is still better than most things on TV, so when rating this 3 stars i use the other series as a barometer - otherwise it would be higher.

As always the acting is great and the action set pieces are spectacular, if they could just keeping the good start going all the way through to the end this would have been great.

All in it's dissappointing for 24, but still better than most other TV shows!

Without giving away too much of the plot, season six takes off 20 months after jack's deappearence. Terrorists, good guys, bad guys ,even some good guys who are bad guys, lots of twists and turns, ups and downs, will keep you watching through to the end.

Cant wait for season 7

I guess it had to happen - after four very good series and two average, finally we get an absolute stinker!!

Unconvincing characters, played by unconvincing actors, weak plotlines, unoriginal....the failings go on. And for a concept that by definition thrives on tension, 24 season six is pretty boring for the most part.

24 is now far behind Prison Break, Lost and Heroes. For a 24 addict, watching season six was like watching a slow death.

Oh dear, Jack's in trouble again.

Having watched all previous series of 24 with the ever-increasing feeling that the franchise was in a tail-spin I expected much the same from series 6. I was not disappointed.

Previous series' had at least tried to maintain a sense of credibility but series 6 seems to have dispensed with this 'option' in favor of dramatic license. I did see it through and , yes, it was entertaining but this last stretched believability beyond even this seasoned 24 watcher's limits. Without spoiling the plot for anyone who does want to complete their 24 watching 'pleasure', I think it's safe to say after 2 years of being tortured by the Chinese you can't be fit for active , athletic duty; a 15mm drill bit through your shoulder blade won't heal within 3 hours; chopping your arm off at the shoulder with an axe actually does hurt and results in such copious loss of blood that you can't go for a stroll ; a brain hemorrhage is most unlikely to be fixed (even temporarily) by a shot of adrenalin.

Exciting yes, but it does go on and on and on trying to out do itself to the extent that it evetuallybecomes a caricature of itself. Watch it, enjoy it ,but don't expect to believe it or be full of expectation for series 7.

Rated - 5 starsThe Best!

People need to remember that when they argue that 24 storyline is repetitive they need to understand the whole concept of this program. If you don't have terrorist in the plot or Nuclear weapons or assasinations then what would be the point of CTU!

CTU (Counter terrorist Unit) is the Hub. without it jacks role is pointless and we all know how good he is.

I personally again was glued to the TV, the acting was superb, the storyline was great and I just couldn't fault it except think....there should be more!

when I watched all the other series I hoped they would all be like the previous one, very tense, exciting to watch and similar to an extent. Each and every series was an improvement from the previous.

Series 7.....I can't wait!
