Brief synopsis of Trauma Center - Second Opinion

Turn your living room into an operating room. The critically acclaimed medical drama turns the Wii Remote into doctor's tools for laser surgery, defibrillation, forceps and more.

You play surgeon in this exciting medical drama simulation. You'll need to cure patients of everything from routine medical maladies to life-threatening designer viruses. And, of course, there's just as much drama outside of the operating room as in it.

In Trauma Center: Second Opinion, every second counts. Between a countdown timer and a patient's vitals, the pressure is on to perform a pinpoint accurate operation. The Wii Remote controller serves as all the surgical tools you need to save lives. It's a scalpel, a surgical laser, forceps and more.

The game calls on you to perform a wide variety of operations from resetting pieces of a shattered bone to extracting glass to removing tumors. Although you'll use some surgical techniques several times, each operation presents a unique challenge - one in which you'll be graded from A to C.

Rated - 2 starsNot very good

We rented this after playing it at my sister in laws house. it seemed ok there but once the disc arrive it stood and gathered dust for a week or so until we could finally find time to play it. This time never arrived and we decided to send the game back. We enjoyed the brief time we spent with it at someone else's house but it's not a game I would play or rent.

Just too cheesy!

When this arrived i put it in the wii and started my surgery but it was turned off within 10 mins - too hard i thought. i didnt have the steady hand that was needed. The next morning i thought i would give it another go. Wow i am now on story 3 level 3 and dont really want to send it back! i am definatly going out to buy this. Even though its only 1 player i have had friends playing this have a great laugh because they are so bad. I would definatly recommend this.

Rated - 2 starskinda disappointing

Nice unique idea, but the novety wears off after an hour or two.

The story line is quite interesting and is displayed with none moving pics with barely any voice acting, i really think they could have improved this.

The surgery requires quick thinking and fast reflexes and makes pretty good use of the wii remote and nunchuck.

Not a bad game, good renter, bad purchase

I didnt find the game that interesting, it was'nt really a game, it had a couple of chapters for different parts of the game, and the game play was'nt that good, people who like puzzle type games might like it, but you might not like it if you are more into adventure games.

another mental game concept from japan. why not while away your evenings removing tumours from a virtual stomach? why not get told off by a manga nurse for being late for surgery? having said that, once you get over the novelty, it soon wears thin. i got to the first real tricky op and decided life was too short to persevere too long. worth a look out of sheer curiousity but don't expect gears of war.

Rated - 2 starsTraumatic indeed

Hated this game from the start.

As a newcomer to wii gaming I was told to rent this game as it was like the real thing. What a crock. Removing a 6 inch shard of glass from a human heart, I don't think so. You have to use the nunchucks with this game and it frustrates the life out of you when you find they don't respond the way you want them too. The game is full of annoying conversations between so called Drs & nurses which you have to constantly skip. If you want simple games that are enjoyable I suggest avoiding this one at all costs. However my son claimed to love it. In between bouts of near tearful frustration!!!
