Zach Braff used to be funny, but this is easily one of the worst pieces of crap I've had the misfortune to sit through. It has its moments - it does - but they're very few - and so forced as to even make you feel uncomfortable! This is an awful, tepid and unfunny movie with characters that irritate rather than endear.

Why is it so difficult for Hollywood to produce a decent Rom-Com nowadays? And how did this clap-trap ever get made?? I mean - can't they see!!!

Avoid like the plague.

Rated - 3 starsIf only ...

Sensational cast, it wasn’t awful by any means and was to a point well written with some great performances. Trouble was it wasn’t very funny – and the only point where I actually did laugh out loud was within the outtakes that played during the final credits. Should have done better.

Rated - 3 starsSomething missing

Stiofan from Oxford [Highly rated reviewer] , 21/09/2007

This is a fairly short film with fairly long credits (including outtakes so worth keeping watching). It did make me laugh but it was all rather subdued and didn't really get going. Great cast mainly from American sitcoms who put in good performances. Jason Bateman from 'Arrested Development' puts in a good performance as does Zach Braff, slightly subdued from his 'Scrubs' character. Charles Grodin is good too and Mia Farrow bizarre as the parents of Amanda Peet (from 'Studio 60..'). Throw in cameos from Romany Malco ('Weeds') and Paul Rudd and that's a great cast. The kid is very good too. The script and story are ok too but it just didn't take off for me (but I did laugh at times).

Rated - 2 starsDisappointing

AllieinLancs from Stalybridge [Highly rated reviewer] , 03/01/2008

The outline of the plot sounded appealing but the actual film was very disappointing. The story was predictable and dull, the acting was lame and the only decent performance was given by the 'bad guy' who you were supposed to dislike!
