Brief synopsis of Rush Hour 3

While in Paris, Chief Inspector Lee's (Jackie Chan) latest assignment is to escort and to protect Chinese Ambassador Han as he delivers a major address before the World Criminal Court Summit in Los Angeles. While delivering his announcement, he is shot and nearly killed. Meanwhile, former LAPD Detective James Carter (Chris Tucker), who has recently been demoted to traffic duty, just happens to be listening to the radio when the tragedy occurs. He rushes to the scene to help, but instead interferes with Lee's pursuit of the culprit. To get his status back, Carter teams up with Lee one more time to help track down the assassins. With the trail leading to Paris, both will find themselves in unfamiliar territory.

Rated - 4 starsAn Eiffel of cop chaos.. this time in Paris..

PaulaWestwood from Ashton-Under-Lyne [Highly rated reviewer] , 13/08/2007

On this third instalment our kick boxing cops are embroiled in a triad hit that sees them on the streets, and under the streets and above the streets, of Paris. It is another treat of fun and action in just the right measure, with some fantastic wisecracks, the womaniser par excellance 'Tucker' (well he thinks he is !) and some great fight and chase scenes. For me the whole thing is still fresh and entertaining enough to warrant a definate recommendation.

Rated - 0 starsDon't rent this film!!!

A customer from Bristol , 03/02/2008

I very rarely turn a film off, but there is only so much I can take and this film had to go. I could not sit through the uncomfortableness that this film invoked in me. I watched it with my partner and my Mum and we were all in agreement about the crass humour and the awkwardness of this movie. I know 1 and 2 were not a wit fest, but at least they were enjoyable, this film just made me angry with its line upon line of sexist and racist jokes. At one point Chris Tucker is holding a gun to a taxi drivers head, because he said American's are violent and he doesn't like them, and forces him to sing the American national anthem! This same taxi driver picks them up later confessing that the car chase he experiences with them was so enthralling that he wants to be an American and starts using American lingo and donning American trinkets. This is so offensive, please don't bother you will be dissappointed!

Rated - 5 starsYou are not my brother

Absolutely fantastic. Brilliant film, which is well worth watching if youve enjoyed the previous 2 Rush Hours. The comic just doesnt get old. This third installment, in my opinoin is very on the mark for a 12A rating, and there are definately a few comments within the film that are on the mark. But obviously, if it didnt have those in it, it wouldnt be rush hour. EXCELLENT overall, and well worth renting when it comes out. A+++ :D

Rated - 1 starsNaff Hour

A customer from Sutton , 06/01/2008

This was the most disappointed I've been in a movie for a long long time. I loved the first two rush hours so my hopes were high, but this was absolute drivel, and unfortunately RH now joins the ranks of classic moves that should have never had a 3rd part - eg Terminator. There was very little storyline, the Chemistry between Chris and Jackie wasnt as good, and in general the movie just bumbled along to a ridiculous climax, with a smattering of amusing moments. Im rating this so low, not just because it merits a one star, but for the let down factor as I expected great things.

I really enjoyed Rush Hour 1 and 2 but found this a struggle to watch all the way through. No where near as funny as the first two films, with alot less of the 'wow' factor when it came to the fighting scenes. I really like Jackie Chan and have enjoyed most of his films, but not this one.

To be honest, I wish I hadn't bothered watching it.

Tired sequel where Chan & Tucker seem to lack chemistry. But, if you liked the first two you will probably enjoy this one.
