Brief synopsis of Assassin's Creed

Assassin's Creed is set in 1191 AD, when the Third Crusade was tearing the Holy Land apart. Shrouded in secrecy and feared for their ruthlessness, the Assassins intend to stop the hostilities by suppressing both sides of the conflict. Players, assuming the role of the main character Altair, will have the power to throw their immediate environment into chaos and to shape events during this pivotal moment in history. Features:

Realistic and Responsive Environments: Crowds react to your moves and will either help or hinder you on your quests.
Action with a New Dimension - Total Freedom: Eliminate your targets wherever, whenever, and however. Stalk your prey through richly detailed, historically accurate, open-ended environments. Scale buildings, mount horses, blend in with crowds. Do whatever it takes to achieve your objectives.
Intense Action Rooted in Reality: Experience heavy action blended with fluid and precise animations. Use a wide range of medieval weapons, and face your enemies in realistic swordfight duels.

Rated - 0 starsmindless repetitive tosh

I was very excited about this game, been following it for a year or so, finally get a chance to play it and wow what a dissapointment, the graphics are amazing but the framerate is very choppy and not fluid. The gameplay is even worse, its very mind-numbingly repetitive, there is no variation, no sidequests, you have to do the same thing over and over and over and over and over and over again.

Freerunning was cool, thats about it.

Rated - 4 starsThe next big thing?

This title has huge potential, all we know is that you play as an assasin named Altair, working for and organization of assasins attempting to end the war in the holy land.

Early reviews of this title have been mostly positive with only a few criticisms levelled at control and camera issues, both of which could be easily fixed.

There have also been hints about genetics and genetic history, hinting that this coud be the first of a series of assasin games placed throughout histroy.

Having a shot at Hitler for the sequel maybe? We will have to see.

Rated - 2 starsA real disappointment

I was intrigued by the game as its setting seemed interesting and I was curious to see what the plot was about. Unfortunately it seems like they released it unfinished. The missions are repetitive and unsatisfying, the combat fiddly and the camera gets in the way too often. Maybe by the time the inevitable sequel is released in a year or two they'll have finished this game. As it is I'm glad I didn't buy it.

Don't rent this game (or buy it) unless your PS3 is or can be linked to the internet. you need to download something!!!? to be able to play it. What a pain.

The other reviews say enough about the game, pretty but repetative. At least Heaven's Sword had a certain degree of variation in its linear game play.

This game looks stunning but can become quite tiresome with all the breaks and cut scenes , had it for a day then sent it back
