Brief synopsis of Virtua Fighter 5

Virtua Fighter 5 will deliver fast-paced, adrenaline-pumping action as players head into battle, taking on a host of popular characters. The game will introduce two new dynamic characters, El Blaze and Eileen, complete with new fighting techniques and from completely different backgrounds. Play as one of the 17 default characters in the game or customize a character to become the top Virtua Fighter. Players will be able to modify their characters by selecting from four base costumes and then decorate them by attaching a wide range of unlockable and earnable items. Players will not only achieve victory by defeating highly-skilled opponents, but also by competing for prizes and earning in-game money allowing them to buy many items at an in-game shop. Further building upon the depth of the series, players will now be able to move around their opponent using an "Offensive Move" technique, adding a new strategic element to their battles.

After being bored by some fighting games in the past i though i'd take a chance of Virtua Fighter 5. Whilst it does still have the classic arcade mode fighting option, it bolsters its offering with the Quest playing option. The Quest basically lets you pick and choose fights with various different virtual players in a virtual city arena with different arcade to fight people in.

The graphics are simply stunning, and the various 360 achievements keep you interested for more than the normal 1 hour trial i give games i rent.

I found this game to be quite good, until i got past the menu into the arena, yes the graphics are superb, however the game is slow and not very responsive, i found myself having to press the button combinations for the attacks at super human speed.

If you want to see some good graphics then this is one for you, and also if you are a Virtua Fighter fan, but i think i will be going back to playing Street Fighter II on Xbox Live Arcade because it is a much better fighting game.

Virtua fighter 5 is an excellent game,it's fast, fun, and quite technical,it's good to see proper martial arts used in a game plus keep it fun,the graphics are fantastic and the animation smooth, characters are well detailed,i was expecting a rather shallow game being as it's an arcade conversion but there's plenty to keep you going, plus you've got xbox live to face off against real players(most of whom beat me down)great rental, good way to try before you buy, that's what i'll be doing next, great way to check out games before you pay the full whack.
