Brief synopsis of The Thirst

Jeremy Sisto (SIX FEET UNDER) and Adam Baldwin (SERENITY) star in this blood-chilling vampire flick. Sisto plays Darius, the leader of a group of vampires literally driven by a lust for blood. These undead addicts crave sex and death, but nothing can satisfy their hunger.

This film is a poor remake/update of the excellent cult classic Near Dark, do yourself a favour rent the original.

Vile and grotesquely violent. I should have stopped after the first scene, but carried on because I love Adam Baldwin.

Pointless violence with vampires that behave like rabid zombies. All the characters are deeply unpleasant, and I can't imagine where the film was going. I didn't hang around to find out. Turned it off after 15 minutes, wish it had been sooner.

Comparing this to Near Dark is a bit unfair. That's, arguably, the best Vampire movie ever made, this is a trashy low budget type piece that rattles along a good pace, had a soupçon of nudity and a lot of blood. An enjoyable Friday night with a couple of beers type movie.
