I fell asleep throughout the film - it's boring and has a pointless sub plot about the detective's love life. Utterly pants.

I really liked this gritty crime film that has such a good cast and great acting especially from the gorgeous Salma Hayek. Whoever thinks its boring must enjoy some weird films because the plot keeps you guessing what will happen thrg til the end. Watch it!

Very good film, although the guy playing Mandela was poorly cast. Interesting film.

Rated - 3 starsGood period film

King1and King1and from South Gloucestershire [Highly rated reviewer] , 14/05/2008

Beautifully shot and acted, all actors do their jobs well.

Story does drag a bit, never edge of your seat drama. Based on truth so couldn't speed it up anymore then they have I suppose. Just needed editing a bit more to sharpen it.

Travolta and Gandolfini play against type, (ie. good guys as opposed to bad guys) and do it very well, (especially at the end when the couple were in the electric chair and the look on their faces when the electricity is sent through the chair).

Salma Hayek plays a sexy bad con artist with her boyfriend who rip off unsuspecting women of their money until the b/f gets bored and wants to leave her. Travolta and Gandolfini play the two cops investigating the trail of death the couple leaves behind them.

Pretty good film, worth seeing but be ready with the fast forward button when the film get bogged down with Travolta and his kid and his dead wife sub plot.
