THE GRAPHICS ARE SUPERB AND HAVE COME ALONG WAY FROM 06 AND 07. I STILL HAVE TO SAY ITS HARD TO SCORE AND QUITE REPETITIVE. UNLIKE YOUR FIFA OR PRO EVO THERE ARE NOT TO MANY DIMENSIONS TO THIS TITLE. IF YOU NOT FROM THE US' AND NOT A HOCKEY FAN I WOULD BYPASS

I agree with some points but it is only repetitive if you are not a fan of hockey. This can be said for any sports game if you are not a fan of the sport itself.

Good things:

Excellent graphics.

Impressive AI; the computer studies how you like to play and counters, so you are always having to adapt your playing style.

Very in depth Dynasty/Manager mode; allowing you to take control of any NHL or AHL team.

Goalie Mode; like Be a Pro mode on Fifa 08, this allows you to take control of the goaltender and see the game from his point of view.

Bad points.

Can be hard to score the first couple of times you play the game but this does change with practice and once you get the hang of the controls you can make the puck go anywhere you want.

Teams seem to be able to score against you very easily at times and it seems impossible to get near to the puck.

Very easy to give away penalties even when you don't mean to i.e After you do a slap shot if an opponent falls over the stick it will be classed as tripping.

Fighting can be fun but can also be a bit repetitive.

Overall it is a very good game and I haven't stopped playing it for the last three weeks.

i found thisgame alright but nothing special, it has good graphics dont get me wrong but I am hating the new hit stick which is based around every shot you want to do, it has completeley got rid of the A,B,X,Y shot buttons and has made it harder to score, dynasty mode is boring and I won the cup from simulating which is an easy 50g, there is also an easy 75g which include create your own player, team and goalie which is easy and an easy 125g in all. This game is average and I prefere 07.
