Brief synopsis of Pro Evolution Soccer 2008

Key to PES 2008 is a proprietary adaptive AI system entitled Teamvision - an advanced AI programming that learns and adapts according to an individual's style of play. Teamvision will build attacks and counter specific movements such as previous attacks or defensive errors, ensuring games are more in line with the real thing. Set-pieces have been improved with the addition of a number of new options, including full control over the number of players and the position of the defensive wall.

With the Pro Evolution Soccer series renowned for its fluid, realistic gameplay, PES 2008 builds on the implementation of Teamvision with additional key advances The new AI ensures that defenders work to close down space and block efforts on goal, with shot timing still left entirely down to the player. Close control has also been enhanced when dribbling the ball, and a number of subtle moves added to bypass defenders and move the ball into space.

Player detail has been taken to incredible levels in the Next-Gen versions with full facial animation and the high-definition detail afforded by the hardware used to show full movement and subtle details.

Rated - 1 staram i playing ISS or something?

i woke up this morning, found that i had post. discovered pro evo was among the letters. so i tried it out, i've heard mixed reviews for this game, so i decided to rent it.

having been a pro evo fan up until i couldn't take anymore of pro evo 5. i turned to fifa 07 then played 08. i expected konami to really push the bar. but no...

basically, i feel sorry for anyone who bought this. wow, talk about a step back konami. i seriously felt like i was playing international superstar soccer on my playstation. for an xbox360 game, this lacked ALOT of visual. the graphics are horrid. &what the heck is with the pace of the game? i felt i was missing a joystick and 4 coloured buttons. it just doesn't feel like football.

there are good features in pro evo. things that fifa doesn't have, such as training & the editing capabilities. but why can't they get the rest right?

fifa 08 may have it's flaws. but man, does it win hands down over this game.

posted back same day.

I Have Played the demo for this 360 version and it is vastly improved from the pevious one in the series one thing is the fact that diving has been added to the gameplay, but get it wrong and the ref tells you to get up and brandishes a yellow card. The all round gameplay just seems smoother and the graphics are sharper too, cant wait to play the full version! Get it!!!!!!!!!!

I liked this game a lot, and prefer this to Fifa 2008.

Ok, im not a huge fan of football games, they do get boring after a while, but pro evo 2008 did make big improvements from there pes6. Shooting was much more reasonable than just flying over the bar when taping the shoot button, and skills were a bit easier to introduce in matches, however, im still not keen on the non brand naming.. like man red, and west london united. All-in all the same as pes6 but a bit better on the field, (needs work still on season modes)
