Brief synopsis of Lego Star Wars - The Complete Saga

LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga takes the fun and endless customisation of everything Lego and combines it with the epic story, characters and action from Star Wars to create a unique game that lets you build and battle your way through a tongue-in-cheek Star Wars Galaxy.

Rated - 5 starsYou've never seen Lego look so good

Lego Star Wars is a slightly improved compilation of the highly successful series, adapted for the next-gen consoles. The controls are somewhat improved, giving a smoother feel to the gameplay than there once was. Bosses aren’t quite so mind-achingly annoying now, and the platform levels are still challenging, but not enough to make you throw your controller to the other end of the room. Play style is challenging but not boring for a young child, and yet there's still something for us older players, whether it's the sarcastic acting by the Lego cast, or the way our foes break into their lego parts... it's hard to put a finger on.

Overall, the gameplay is still as engaging as ever, and enough to make you want to play the story through to the end. There has been a slight improvement in graphics. They’re sharper than before, but don’t expect too much – these are still the little shiny plastic guys of before, except now they’ve had a bit of polish. The soundtrack is appealing, and you might find yourself randomly destroying things just to hear that hum of your lightsaber once again. Or, you may kill R2-D2 every time you see him, just to hear him scream. (titter) The extra areas and features of this game are mind-boggling. They’re not a patch on some rpgs where there’s 60 hours worth of gameplay in just the main storyline, you’ll wiz through that, but when you go back through free play using every character you can imagine to reach all those studs, you’ll appreciate the thought that’s been put into each level. There’s a great amount of stuff to explore, and I strongly suggest that you do so when you get the chance. A Highly replayable game. Whether you were a fan from the start or are curious but never got around to playing, I highly recommend this game to you.

Rated - 4 starsFun for all ages

Cheesy as it sounds... its truly a fun game 4 all ages. Having said that, if you've already played one of the previous games (I had one of the Lego Star Wars on the PS2 before) then this PS3 offering may not impress. Slightly better graphics but not much else.

But if you've not played one before give it a try - well playable, drop in and drop of out of co op 2 player mode and experience the funny recreations of the best scenes from the movies.

Star Wars Lego has to be one of my top two player game, even on one player it's pretty good, but with two player where you can play with your buddie or someone, it adds more fun to the game, work together to get through levels and get more points to buy stuff. A must for a two player game. 4 Stars

This game, without doubt, is the greatest game I have ever played on any console! It is hilarious! If, like me, you were a kid in the seventies then this game is everything you were into during your childhood!

P.S. My wife thinks it looks rubbish, but she's a girl!

This is probably the best game in the Lego series. So much so, we went and bought it just to complete all levels and challenges.

My son loved it, Iwas glad that it was not a shoot them up type of game recommended.
