Rated - 5 starsBest DBZ Game

Even better that it's on the Wii & uses the controllers well. Takes a lot of energy to play though, more than Wii Sports - boxing. For a fan of the series, you must get this game. Loads of characters to choose from. Voice acting is good, cell shading looks just like the animated program does. Also the most innovative fighting game with the Wii controller, & all the 'super human' things that DBZ fighters can do as well as the standard punches, throws & kicks.

Rated - 4 starsGreat Fun!

I love this game. That said it took some time to rub off on me. The fighting is excellent and the range of characters is immense! I found that it was easier to play using a gamecube controller however.. the Wii remote just doesn't feel responsive enough to me, maybe I need more practise but when you see some of the results from your combos its the best feeling ever!

A must-have for any fan of the series! There's SO many combinations of moves you can do, including some that look incredibly like the anime. However one downside to this game would have to be the online play.. Its good and you can do all the stuff against the COMs to real people playing as their favorite characters, but from my experience it's very slow, drags the battle on and overall feels like not much effort was put into it.

Overall though a fantastic game that you will enjoy and the multiplayer is very fun even if the online mode is lacking. The great range of characters and the beautiful special moves that are unique for all of the characters, along with the superb 'Dragon History' mode that is great with the brilliant voices you hear over the battle that relate to it!

If your a fan of the cartoon series or movies then this game will probably appeal to you, if not then im going to struggle to recommend it, the game is split into different game modes with the main being dragonball history where u play through different scenarios from the cartoon, starting from the saiyan saga all the way through to the Buu Saga, then you have the original dragonball series and after that dragonball GT, with a special fights saga and a what if saga to fill it out, this sounds brilliant when you read it but as you play through you find that it lacks depth each scenario has on average around 5 fights but you dont get the full story, your first fight will set up the story then all of a sudden your fighting the main baddy and missing out fights from the cartoon.

Visually this game is great as it looks and sounds just like the cartoon, however in my opinion the gameplay lets it down, each fight is pretty much the same, keep hitting an opponent until the game tells you to press (1) then after a brief cut scene hit them again rinse and repeat until defeated, controls are pretty easy to use after a while and help u feel in the game as special moves are not activated by button pressing, they are activated by pressing up down left or right on the arrows and then moving the wiimote and nunchuk in the direction shown on screen.

I looked forward to this game but in the end i just felt let down.
