Brief synopsis of Karas - The Revelation

Tokyo - a city populated by both humans and by ghostly beings. They exist in both dimensions, seen and unseen: spirits, apparitions, demons. The balance between these two dimensions has long been upheld by the city's guardian raven Karas and his masters. But that balance has been thrown into disarray as Eko, a former Karas, has attempted to seize power and bring order to the streets through force. The entity Yurine, who represents the will of the people, stands in his way with her newly risen Karas. Now an ageless battle stretching across both dimensions and killing humans and spirits alike is in progress between the two sides and their armies. Karas is humanity's last hope.

The second part that has just come out on Dvd has more storyline than the first part not as much action, otherwise all the same elements, ghost, demons new karas's arriving kicking ass - if you like manga you should enjoy this film.

Rated - 5 starsWhat a Revelation!

I bought the prophecy (vol 1) instinctively and loved it, though I didn't like the way it ended, which made me all the more eager to see a conclusion... and a worthy one this is! As far as Anime goes, this is the bees knees. The animation and CGI are fantastically merged , great orchestral music, explosive fight scenes and the well mapped out plot brings the story to a satisfying yet dubious close. When I say dubious... I'm trying not to reveal any spoilers!

I highly recommend you watch this, however, watching this movie when you haven't seen The Prophecy could be a lot like trying to lick on dry paint... it just doesn't really stick! Watch The Prophecy, and if you like it, you should like this more!

Rated - 4 starsIf you like Manga - You'll love Karas

Karas totally blew me away. The stunning backdrops and fascinating, beautifully drawn demons create the world in which the story unfolds. The interesting, eclectic mix of both classical and dance music makes a soundtrack with a real epic feel while the dialogue (the bane of many a Manga movie) holds together well. The action isn't quite as breathless as the first one but is still a damn sight faster and better looking than any other Manga I have seen in a long time. Rent Karas together with Karas the Relevation and you won't be disappointed.
