I was so excited to finally watch this series as I had heard so many good things about it.

The first 2 discs were good, then it became VERY boring and monotonous. This series just goes to show how pompous and arrogant some British people can be. The kings persuit of his chamber girls was embarrasing to watch. You can't but help feel extremely sorry for British women.

I will not be watching the second series. 1 star for the first two discs.

I wasn't sure what was happening when Sean Pertwee died in the opening credits, but it was only uphill from there.

A good show and having missed it on TV didn't have to wait a week to see each episode.

I would recommend it and watching in HD didn't hold it back.
