Given the potentially unwieldy nature of the enterprise, [director] Benton juggles the multiple narratives with considerable grace, and succeeds in creating a warm (if somewhat improbable) sense of community among the principal characters

I don't often feel compelled to write reviews, but this is an all time stinker. It’s clumsily plotted and cliché ridden with weak characterization, a cloying sound track, and misjudged and shallow attempts at profundity. I really don’t know what Kinnear and Freeman were thinking – this is just terrible.

Rated - 4 starsA nice enjoyable movie for nearly everyone

This movie was like a good book, one that you can curl up with and enjoy from start to finish.

There were strong multiple stories, especially the characters who were in situations that they knew were hurting themselves as well as others.

As usual the narration of Morgan Freeman is worth the price of admission. For most of the movie he hides his own pain, but at the same time is able to reach out to help those who need it.

Perhaps it's not a movie for everyone, but if you've been around for a while, you can certainly identify with some of the characters and their stories.

This is one of the better pictures I've seen this year (albeit there weren't very many good pictures this year) and I would highly recommend it.

A beautifully spun story depicting a variety of love experienced by different people. There will be a sub story here to suit anyone. Whether you have fallen in love with your one and only or married someone and then bumped into your soul mate. Its all here. However it can be very emotional at times so maybe watch it when your feeling strong. A lovely appearance by Morgan Freeman who's acting is convincing and heartfelt. More of a Sunday afternoon film on a sunny day (so you cant feel too sad afterwards) !

My girlfriend and I saw the trailer for this on another rental film, and thought it looked like a quality, heart warming tale. ITs not. Its sad, incredibly quick moving at points, and a bit boring. Even the strong cast could not rescue it. I get the point, love hurts etc,. but it pretty rammed down your throat in this, and you just wish that Hugh grant, or julia roberts would come on the stage and make us smile a bit.
