A enjoyable game...

I found this much better than anticipated given that it is one of the lower priced wii games. It features a whole range of Winter Olympics events which vary greatly in difficulty. My only complaint would be that the skiing is incredibly difficult compared to the luge/bobsleigh or speed skating events. Other than this it is a really enjoyable game for most ages, I particularly enjoyed the bobsleigh events and the cross-country skiing. A range of different games modes (career, multiplayer, single event etc) and leagues makes it a game that you can get a lot of gameplay out of...well worh renting

The graphics look ok and the comentators are quite good (although i don't know how much they repeat what they say, nice witty banter etc). However, the controls for all but one game are rubbish or just pointless. The downhill ski is about the only one which works or is interesting enough to do, but still difficult to control.

If you want to see how wii games can be made just to cash in with no real attention to the controls then this is the game for you. You might hold out long enough to try the all the different events, but chances are you'll eject it before you get that far.

It might be better multiplayer, but frankly I couldn't be bothered to try. I suppose the down hill ski may be worth a longer look but since it is a 9th of the overall game I can't beleive it is worth the bother.
