Brief synopsis of Ratatouille - BLU-RAY Version

A rat named Remy dreams of becoming a great French chef despite his family's wishes and the obvious problem of being a rat in a decidedly rodent-phobic profession. When fate places Remy in the sewers of Paris, he finds himself ideally situated beneath a restaurant made famous by his culinary hero, Auguste Gusteau. Despite the apparent dangers of being an unlikely - and certainly unwanted - visitor in the kitchen of a fine French restaurant, Remy's passion for cooking soon sets into motion a hilarious and exciting rat race that turns the culinary world of Paris upside down.

Ratatouille is the latest and arguably greatest treat from the team at Pixar. This animated delicacy is right up there with The Incredibles. I don't even have 1080p, yet at 1080i the HD images were so exquisite it took on a truely 3 dimensional look to it so much so at times it felt like I could reach into the TV screen and fondle a rodent or two.

From the fur of the rats to the glistening streets of Paris, the food, the scenery, this is what blu ray is all about (sigh).

Great acting, engaging characters and the endearing humour we all love about Pixar movies. I've bought my copy, this is definitely a keeper...one to watch more than once. Bravo Ratatouille...Bravo.

Looks absolutely amazing in Bluray, almost 3D. You feel like you could touch the characters.

Really enjoyed the film, would have got 4 stars from me except for the fact that i couldn't find a Dolby 5.1 soundtrack anywhere on the disc so had to settle for the old stereo instead.

Rated - 4 starsNice animated movie

This is a lovely animated adventure for kids and adults. It looks fantastic on blu-ray, the colours make it really stand out on an LCD panel. The story is about a rat who likes to cook, so the problems that arise are obvious even to those who havent seen a trailer. But its made well and is very heartwarming. There are some 'off' moments, one being how the rat (who is very cute btw) controls the human... by pulling his hair! I think they could have worked on that abit as its very unconvincing. Then again this movie is for children so im not complalning an awful lot. If you like animated movies, i think its worth a watch.
