Brief synopsis of Dragon Wars - BLU-RAY Version

Meet Buraki, the vicious, 200-meter long Imoogi serpent from ancient Korea. His army includes giant lizards with missile launchers, flying dragons, soldiers bred for evil and mega-intelligent dinosaurs. Together, they will destroy Los Angeles and possibly the world unless reincarnated warriors Ethan and Sarah can outrun them and resurrect the Good Imoogi, Buraki's ancient nemesis. Dragon Wars reveals every last detail of Earth's greatest battle... a war you'll only believe when you see it for yourself.

Very good graphics but storyline is a bit poor. It's a Korean made movie and the director did a great job. Worth watching for graphics lovers.

I was excited about this one. Massive let down. Bad script, bad acting. Some fairly decent dragon creatures. Overall, wouldn't really bother. Watch Flight of the Dragons instead!

Yes, the film is absolute bumpkiss. The plot is confusing, and the script and acting is mostly appalling. But this is a B-movie and by anyone's standards, the overall quality of this film knocks its competitors out of the park. The special effects are especially astounding for a straight-to-DVD release. Directors like George Lucas who spend hundreds of millions on special efects for only a marginal improvement in quality look a little silly after having seen this film.

So overall, the film is poor. But compare it to films like Snakes on a Plane or Starship Troopers 2 and you'll be in for a nice surprise. What's really interesting is seeing what directors with a small budget can achieve nowadays. This bodes very well for the future.

Rated - 3 starsI don't know why I liked this....

... but I kinda did.

It has the feel of a very very long episode of the power rangers with a tiny bit of crouching tiger hidden dragon thrown in. The story isn't overly clear with lots of made up words, the power rangers style costumes and poor acting aren't so good either..... for some reason though I still liked it.

There is a lot of nice looking CG which looks great in HD. Well worth a rent but I wouldn't buy.
