Brief synopsis of Damages - Series 1 - Complete - BLU-RAY Version

Glenn Close leads an incredible ensemble cast starring as hot-shot litigator Patty Hewes as she embarkes on the biggest class-action lawsuit in her firm's history. Patty has several weapons up her sleeve - deception, betrayal and unflinching ambition being just a few. The opposition, her team, and anyone who gets in her way had better watch their backs as she manipulates her way through the case.

Fantastic in a word. Glenn Close and the rest of the cast make this series great. You never know where you stand with this programme. Just when you think you have all the answers they change the questions. Death, betrayal and legal drama make this a series about class action that so far (episode 9) hasn't gotten within 30 metres of a court room.

Rated - 5 starsFirst season leaves you wanting more...

I'm not really a fan of legal dramas but gave this a shot as there aren't that many tv series out on blu-ray yet, and I was far from disappointed.

Plenty of twists and turns, perhaps a little too many early on as I found myself second guessing from time to time, but it built up to a great climax and I can't wait for the second season later this year.

I can't really comment on the audio quality as it's only set up through the tv at the moment, but the picture is superb. Well worth a watch.
