I was originally determined to buy this one thinking it was a brilliant idea for a game and thats what it was, a brilliant IDEA. The game itself was very disappointing, sure, some elements were good such as the timer and the searching by reciepe but the reciepes themselves were rubbish, you start off with 54 and have to cook some to get more but the ones you start with are rubbish side dishes, dips and 20 different types of rice, there wasn't an actual meal between them!

I think i will stick to finding my reciepes on websites or in books, brilliant idea but glad i didn't waste my cash buying it!

I couldn't decide if i liked this.

For beginners the good thing about this is it shows you demonstrations on how to prepare ingredients (eg. different ways to cut and slice vegetables and meat). Many cook books don't always explain this fully or expect you to know, so it's great watching how to do it.

It also explains what different cooking terms mean (eg. blanching) and fully explains what the various kitchen tools are. In many cook books you are expected to be familiar with these things and end up having to look up things yourself.

Also on the plus side it was great fun searching for recipes by country, ingredients, time to prepare, calorie count etc.

But the very big downside is that the recipes themselves are not very good.

I would buy this for someone who wants to learn more about cooking but not for someone who loves to cook.

After seeing Fern Britton advertise this one on the t.v, I thought it looked quite good and would give me some good ideas for cooking.

Not only is it hard to use, I find that my DS is the last thing I think of when heading into the kitchen!

Silly idea!
