After 2008's fantastic WWE game I had to rent this...so I did and it wasn't the best. All the hype of the new game mode 'ROAD TO WRESTLEMANIA' and it isn't even any good.

Superstar mode last year was addictive but THIS year there is no video clips, no laptop, no phone and not even any girls on the go.

I have to say the only proper good thing there is this year is the 'CREATE A FINISHER' mode.

ONLY A RENT IF YOU'RE A HARDCORE WWE FAN... [i'm not]

Rated - 5 starsLayeth the Smackdown on em!!

This is the best installment of the smackdown series so far, although they could have down some more with the create a wrestler. Its essentially the same as its three predecessors apart from some new outfits/clothes etc....

A lot of emphasis has been put into the tag side of the game with great double moves and hot tags. The road to wrestlemania mode is fantastic with some great storys, my favorite was The Undertakers, you can also do one of the storys co-op with Rey and Batista I just wish more of the storys were co-op as I had great fun going through it with my son.

The career mode is much better now, with all the cut-scenes now in the wrestlemania mode you can go through the career mode quicker and easier, even if you set the difficulty to easy when you challenge for the top 2 world heavy weight belts the wrestlers get a little tougher which I think was a good touch.

The inferno match is also a very good new edition and its quite fun throwing them over the burning ropes, the best thing is there is only about 18 achievements with no-silly online achievements, I ended up with a 1000 points after a month so thats cool too.

Rent or buy this game, if you love wrestling games you wont be dissapointed.
