I rented this for my kids, they played it for 5 mins and never played it again. Get something more challenging and enjoyable like shrek the third. You will get enough out of the free download demo of this game on your xbox 360.

Well where to start on another poor film to console game!

The gameplay is poor as usual on most rushed out games, the camera angles etc get really annoying after 5 mins or so. A simple game to play and becomes very boring after a short period of time.

Young children i expect would get a bit frustrated with this.

Maybe worth a rent if you really must but my advice would be to leave well alone.

Rated - 3 starsfun but hard game that keeps you going back for more

rented this for the wife as she likes the kids games (a little easier and more her thing than the halo's of the world). Its a fun little game that follows the movie quite closely in the number of different 3d environments your little mouse has to run jump climb and tightrope walk in, however it ca be quite frustrating in a number of areas in that the difficulty is set much higher earlier on than in some of the other child friendly games out there (i.e. TMNT, shrek etc), and this caused my wife to give up on it after a few hours of dieing constantly (the poor rat must have fallen of the tightrop more than a hundred times). If your child (or the kid in you if youre an adult) is quite skilled at platform games then you should enjoy it, if your not brilliant at these type of games then you will get a little frustrated with this game

This is yet another example of games developers taking a decent film and mangling it. The graphics aren't bad and the humour seems to have been retained, however, like so many franchise games, the control method is so poor as to render it frustrating and unplayable. The developers obviously only cared about profits knowing full well that children would nag their parents into getting the game for them. Only rent this if your child sits in front of a games console every minute of their spare time. Thats how good they'll need to be.
