And you don't think you've messed it up not by giving it 0 stars...... (yes I know I've just done a similar thing but I am not the one complaining here so that's irrelevant..)

This game is so good i downloaded the demo on xbox live and its brilliant
oasismark from Sheffield , 25/09/2008
All i can say is..... WOW!What an awful game they have made!I have just had to turn if off after about 3 hours of play, its just so badly put together.Visuals and sound are superb, cos its star wars, levels look amazing, but take away the star wars sound. images etc, its an awful psone game.My gripes...Why can a powerful jedi knight and Darth Vaders aprentice, be killed by a robot with a stick? Why are the loading times so long between levels? GTA can render a huge metropolis without loading, if you get killed within 10 seconds of a level, it takes a full 15 secong loads to get going again!!!All this talk and demonstrations about DMM!!! why is it only used to open doors, or bend big planks into walk ways?It may have well just said 'press X to open door'Why does it always show you what to do?Juno ' Hmm how are you gonna get inside the ship?'Cut to a shot of a glowing door with a huge handle on it.Why button presses on the boss battles?I think there was some good cenematic fight sequences, in the game, but i didnt see then cos i was watching for which button i should press????Why stop the game to level up? talk about killing the atmosphere, just auto level up if your gonna do it, long loading times again spoil it.Awful camera, it should aim at what your looking at to assist with using the force powers. most of the time i was aiming off screen at where i thought enemies were. They shouldn't have levels where you can just fall off a walkway and die, your suppose to be all powerful, it kills the illusion your a powerful jedi. This game was suppose to be about 'kicking someones ass with the force' but oh be carful you dont fall of the walkway my jedi master!Absolute rubbish smothered in STAR WARS TM to trick you into buying it.Im just so glad i rented it, and can send it back
Devlin from Cardiff [Highly rated reviewer] , 21/09/2008
With a game as eagerly as anticipated and a franchise as revered as this it's hard to remain objective but I shall try. I'll lay my cards on the table I saw the first Star Wars when I was 8 and it rocked my world, so I'm a card-carrying fanboy even to this day. Therefore I wanted to like The Force Unleashed (TFU) immensely. To my surprise I did like it, though not immensely. The graphics are great and the environments, especially Fallucia, are detailed. Some might say the Imperial levels are bland but they have to stick with the look of the Star Wars universe which was never that detailed until the prequels. It licks along at a nice framerate with no noticeable slowdown, at some points the areas are swarming with enemies.Gameplay wise, it's not perfect. The RPG elements feel a little tacked on. While the upgrades and the lightaber portions are fine I found the combo purchases rather tedious and unnecessary. It would have been better if they had become unlocked as you upgraded your force powers. The camera (like most 3d cameras) is a bit of a battle. It could have done with being a little more dynamic and sometimes I found myself being shot or meleed by something I couldn't see which took a fair chunk off my healthbar before I could move the camera. There are graphical glitches reported but I saw none and neither did I get stuck on the scenery. As for the repetitive gameplay, I suppose it boils down to how much of a Star Wars nerd or wannabe Jedi you are. I never tired of finding inventive ways to dispatch stomtroopers so for me it was never a problem. I loved being able to wield my lightsaber while crushing squads with a hefty piece of death star. Having said that, the actual 'Force' wielding in TFU is a little haphazard. The game locks onto what it thinks you want to grip and throw and it's not always the case. A button to cycle through targets may have remedied this. The boss battles aren't all that great but they aren't all that bad either. I found them reasonably engaging and I found one surprise appearance particularly tough. MY only niggle would be with the Star Destroyer section. It's just badly designed and a grind. Not fun at all.The main thing that kept me going was the story. It fits nicely into the canon and does fill in the gaps quite well. I enjoyed seeing how the apprentice fit into the story and that made my participation that much more rewarding. In summation, it's a flawed game. It WILL frustrate you but it was also exhilarate you. Once finished you keep all your stats and costumes from the previous play through which means potentially you could work yourself p to maximum power to feel what it would really be like to be a kickass Jedi.If nothing else it's worth a rental but I loved it and I'd recommend it to Star Wars fans everywhere
TheDjMission from Taunton [Highly rated reviewer] , 27/11/2008
This game is just awesome, everything about it is awesome! The graphics are top notch. The gameplay is intense, exhilarating and incredibly, well, just awesome!Im only about the fourth mission in but the story line is great! This is definetly one you need to rent! I think I might buy this one!
Merik from Pontypridd [Highly rated reviewer] , 07/10/2008
To be fair this game is not that bad. and I did enjoy playing it, mostly. The problem is that it is just so dissapointing. Not remotely as good as it should have been or was advertised as.The story line is really quite limited, it is quite interesting but it is very rigid with no real choice in what you did, or in the complexities of being good or evil. Basically in all circumstances you kill everyone.even if there not actually bad guys you can kill them anyway because there is no light side darkside ballance that is usually present in Starwars games. Much was made of the revolutionary systems for the destruction of the environment and for the way enemies would react to being attacked. In truth very little of the environment is destructable. The control system is average at best. targeting is a real problem often causing you to attack in the wrong direction or throw an explosive barrel into a wall rather than the intended target. I personally feel that the option to have been able to remap some of the key controls would have resolved some issues, (I never understand why some game designers are so afraid to give you this option). The camera view is at times awful, often making it impossible to see yourself or your enemy. The only real saving grace of this game is the fact that it's starwars. I am a fan and so I did get some enjopyment out of this, but I really wish I had rented it not bought it.Better titles to get. Star Wars : Revenge of the Sith (XBOX/360) : a surprisingly good game that achieves a better control system whilst offering most of the same force powers and a more complex lightsabre fighting system.Vikging: Battle for Asgard. a similar format of game. but with much more freedom. obviusly not starwars but a lot of really good hack and slash and some magic, intermixed with huge battles
Stealthsniper46 from Chatham , 21/09/2008
THe game is a very good game however the game length is completable within a few hours, the jedi fights are easy and the only hard fight is at the end which was still pretty easy. Also a shame how you could like buy lightsabres or have a doubled ended one as thats like the best one :DOw well all in all very good game!!!!!!!
danorama from Colchester , 17/09/2008
you can tell it is going to be an amazing game, even if it's only surposed to have 12 hours gameplay.
ElMouldinho from Welwyn Garden City , 28/09/2008
This game falls somewhat in between what all the pre-release reviews have rated it. Whilst by no means a bad game, Force Unleashed is sadly not too close to being a great one either. The story is probably the best part of this game. I won't ruin it for anyone, but if you're a Star Wars fan and want to fill in the gaps between Episodes 3 and 4, this game has some important plot points that may interest you.The gameplay isn't too bad, but it could have been a lot better. In one word it seems clunky, and in another it is also disjointed, which, when attempting to play as a person strong in the force, occasionally takes you out of the game, and can lead to some frustration. All in all, definitely worth a rent, it takes about 8 hours to complete but can take a lot more if you want to unlock all the achievements. One play-through was enough for me though, as there wasn't enough variety when playing though the levels again.
Gnasher1001 from Southend [Highly rated reviewer] , 24/07/2009
I really liked the demo of this game. It gave you most of the powers in the first level, and i had great fun throwing stormtroopers around and electricuting them, strangling them and using my lightsaber to slice and dice them. Then I got the game....It is exactly the same as the demo, but you do have to wait to get the powers, unlocking them as you go through the game. The problem is though, that you could be playing one section for 10 minutes as you have a particularly challenging opponent, and then whoops, I died, gotta do all that again. Nothing to indicate you're near death (red fog or whatever), just slowly fall to the floor in a faint-like way. Also, boss battles....sometimes you'll be hit and it is IMPOSSIBLE to get up before you're hit by their combos again, then get up, oh hang on, I've been knocked over again, so can't run, or attack (repeat ad nauseum until you 'faint' die again).I REALLY wanted to like this game. The graphics are great, the story fills the hole between Episodes III & IV of Star Wars and is very well presented. The rpg style upgrading is good. Sounds are great, but it's just SO frustratingly bad sometimes, it becomes unplayable.I did play it on medium, so maybe the easy level is better? But then it'd be incredibly short, so who wants a really short game?Graphics - 9Sound - 9Gameplay - 5 (10 for the fun bits, -5 for the frustrating-ness of it)Longevity - 4 - Play once, maybe twice, never again.Buy, rent or avoid? - Rent, just for the story
A customer from Swindon , 07/11/2008
I am glad I held back from buying this game. I had my doubts about it while viewing trailers and decided to rent it first. One of the first things I noticed was the long loading times, which are often and even needed when navigating the in-game menu and options!!??!! During the first level, as Darth Vader, I found the game interesting learning the different uses of the force push, from flinging your own stormtroopers around to collapsing the rooves of wooden bridges. However the novelty soon wore off, as combat became repetitive and the level stretched on without much happening. The cutscene was actually more interesting than the gameplay, which is worrying, and for Star Wars fans I think the story would be more of a draw than the playing. The cinematic parts of the fight scenes were good, but were marred by the need for timed button presses to continue them.Overall, I just feel that this game could have been so much more than it is, and for me it was very disappointing.
A customer from Rapture , 21/10/2008
Well worth the rent to be honest. The combat can get slightly repettative but once you start unlocking the combos and powers, it becomes well worth the effort.Good, vaied boss fights make a winner with me.Shame that some of the levels are re-visited in the game which is a bit of a cop out but all in all worth a bash. Not to tight on the achievements either!
A customer from Cambs , 01/10/2008
Found this game very disappointing, while the cut scenes are excellent and the story is good, I can only recommend to the fanboys. The jedi knight games were excellent in their day but this falls short, it seems to much time was spent on the physics when using Force powers. It has some dull level design and the light saber combat is poor. Instead of slicing off a arm, you hit them several times till they fall down.Boring QTE (quick time events) pop up to kill the end boss and mid boss as the developers love them as they require no effort to add. Somewhere there is a good game but the crap level design and boring recycled old ideas drag it down
Polar1 from Currie , 23/09/2008
Have been waiting for this game for ages now and as soon as the demo was available for download on marketplace i was pleased that it doesn't disappoint. This is a must buy for any star wars fan and is clearly the best star wars game to date. Graphics are great and controls feel good. Finally to have the power of the darkside at your disposal you'll just have so much fun dispatching anything that gets in your way!
JackNewton93 from Telford , 22/09/2009
This game is a very fun game to play, The story is good and keeps you hooked. This game took me approximately 8 hours to finish. I highly recomend this game and star wars fans will be pleased.
A customer from Henley-on-Thames , 12/09/2009
This game surprised me, from some of the negatives here I expected something passable yet marred by faults..In reality it holds up well, combat is intuitive & challenging, story is strong & cut scenes are well thought out, and not too long.Admittedly the loading screens to upgrade your character or lightsabre were too long.It may not have the RPG depth & scale of KOTOR, but it's a well crafted 'force em up', enjoyable & well worth a purchase, never mind a rent...
A customer from Camborne , 02/12/2008
I was very disappointed, I'm a big star wars fan and wanted to like this game. The story seemed good, the graphics are in the main very impressive. The problem is the gameplay which is so one dimensional, its just a case of using the same moves on the same enemies (and enemies lack any individuality / are poorly modelled) - those enemies are incredibly dumb, they have the AI of garden vegtables. Admittedly the boss fights are better but are generally anti climatic affairs. Using the force is a great novelty for awhile but like the hack and slash part of the gameplay this too becomes very boring. The enemies just feel like endless drones, there is no satisfaction to be had killing them. Also the game is frustrating at points, I kept just falling off a ledge mistiming a jump and all levels seem to be designed around making hard jumps. Its a lame way for a jedi to die and points to cheap and lazy level design. I was really let down by this title. I even finished the quite repetative Bourne Conspiracy and enjoyed it but I couldn't even be bothered to persist with this until the end. Frustrating, Lazy and above all else boring - I struggle to understand how this scored so highly with reviewers, perhaps because it is pretty enough to get past on its looks. Gameply is nowhere near what we should expect of next gen gaming, rent perhaps - but do not buy. two stars for slick presentation and authentic storyline.
A customer from Kingston upon Thames , 01/11/2008
There is little point ot this game beyond the awesome visuals... this didn't tell the story between III and IV or not how I envisioned it at least, finger mashing was common and after a while I just gave up.Im really dissapointed that such a brilliant game publisher lucasarts could turn out rubbish like this,
A customer from Colchester , 24/10/2008
a real insult to the Star Wars brand. Boring, restrictive.
NeilSBUK from Epsom [Highly rated reviewer] , 12/11/2009
I really enjoyed my first playthrough of The Force Unleashed, despite the bugs I encountered along the way. Those bugs included problems with the camera during critical moments; your character slashing away because you've pressed the buttons a few too many times, even though you stopped pressing it seconds ago; your character falling to his death because you attacked another character whilst facing a cliff edge and fought your way off the ledge after him. There are many more times when you feel cheated out of your health rather than because you lacked skill.I recommend as a rental title as it is definitely worth seeing the story once through, but once it is over, I doubt you'll feel the pull to go back and repeat the whole thing over again. I did and was annoyed when I didn't get achievements for completing on a harder level :-( Some of the achievements also suggest about 4-5 playthroughs, using infinite spawn points, or restarting levels repeatedly to help get them. I would doubt most people have the patience to play this game that much.
muggs from Lincoln , 02/11/2009
Graphics arnt bad , game play noy bad you do get to play as vader for a while .This isnt your normal star wars game , you start as a young semi skilled jedi and build your powers .Plenty of levels and fun until the repetative thing creeps in and you realsie its the same moves the same out come in fights and well the same old same old , you have to be a fan to enjoy.

A customer from Maidenhead , 19/10/2009
Im a big fan of the star wars movies and decided to rent The Force Unleashed. This game is very appealing to fans of the series. For me the story was great i dont want to spoil it for anyone but it is pretty good. Although i must say the actually gameplay was good but not perfect, sometimes if would try and grab an enemy but it would make me grab a box even though the enemy was highlightedOh well, this is easily overcome by the amount of combos and powers you are able to do in this game. I like the fact that you have to spend experiance to unlock new powers and attacks its this kind of feature that makes me want to play a game more just to get every ability.Overall this game is a great title to rent, the story will take you about 8-10 hours depending on your ability and i never really got bored of the game. So definatley rent this game if you are into star wars it might not appeal to people who are not fans of the series but who isnt . . ?
Catman3 from Strathaven , 10/10/2009
A very good attempt at a Star Wars Hack n' Slash, a bit too prone to frustrating, repetitive combat situations which see you dead for little or no reason, if he would only stand up a little quicker, it would perfect but as is you can end up getting chain-knockbacked into oblivion too easily; leaving one more ragequit dent in the controller. Alas, good enough for a single playthrough on Warrior Difficulty, but that's about it.
Simon Moore from England , 17/09/2009
Being a Star Wars fan, I was waiting for a game in which you could really become a jedi and use the force how it was intended to be used, and this game did not dispoint, ok I think the story needs some work, but the powers at hand are WOW, and you can customise your saber and costume to look and play how you want to, a great rent for any fan
A customer from Manchester , 17/09/2009
Just as, 'The Phantom Menace,' was aimed at the younger fans, so is this game.It felt very simplistic to play and the graphics have a bit of a cartoon aspect to them.I played a few levels but I was bored by the same gameplay, basically follow one path and button bash. This went back the same day. Very poor.
TerraBite from Eastbourne , 09/09/2009
I'm a big Star Wars fan, so when i saw the teaser trailers for ST:TFU I, like many other fans, was incredibly excited but alas we were to be let down! While some of the combos you can pull off *can* leave you satisfied, for the most part your left asking 'so?'. This is compounded by enemies that become resistant to these newly learned force powers i.e. Storm Troopers running around with 'Force' fields that protect them from long range force powers. Ultimately i didn't feel like I had been given the keys to unleashing the force! I kept thinking back to Knights of the old republic, I felt like i was controlling a far more powerful character in that game than this - it also had a good story line to boot!Further still, this is not the only problem with the game, the mechanics for character movement are clunky and unresponsive and feel like they have been lifted from a game made in 1999.All in all, glad I rented this title opposed to buying it!
Nishant from Livingston , 02/09/2009
I have one problem with this game. it's the same problem I have with Ninja Gaiden 2. The Camera. It gets in the way. Too often.
A customer from Hyde , 14/08/2009
not a bad game good graphics easy to despatch enemys with the force you can spin them around in the air then hurl them to there doom so quite enjoyable worth the rent just to see if you like this type of game
ph4nt0m from Southampton [Highly rated reviewer] , 11/08/2009
First things first, this game is essential for star wars fans. Not only does it put you in the role of a jedi, or more specifically a sith, it also expands the story of the whole universe with some startling consequences. However this is where he fun ends whilst powering up offers new abilities at your disposal each level soon becomes a lesson in button mashing, and it is over far too quickly, five hours or so and you will have seen all the game has to offer, still worth a rent, just don;t but this as you will be very dissapointed
Jonti85 from Nottingham , 22/07/2009
The force unleashed.....more kinda the force repeating itself repeatedly. Don't get me wrong the game itself is well presented and was worth a rental. But i probably would not buy it.The combat slowly introduces new elements but after a while just tapping out the same combos versus enemies that just seem to want to be on the recieving end of abuse does start to wear you down.Fans of the series may like filling in even more of the mythology but without the star wars licence this game would probably have fallen flat on its face. So, interested in star wars i would say rent it.....if you are not then i'd say this is not for you.
Splint07 from Portsmouth, England [Highly rated reviewer] , 16/07/2009
Just to note i'm not a star wars fan.I still have this game in my collection, it's a good game to play, much better than any other star wars games previously released. characters you play as are fun, and enjoyable gameplay. Have some good laughs with what you can do.Gameplay lasts for about 2-3 hours to complete the game, achievements are fun to get.Graphics are good, but gameplay is the best feature of the game, storyline i would say is the same as any star wars games. If you're bored of games you've tried already, this would be one to try out :)3.5/5 StarsNote: I play on a full 40' 1080p HDTV.
Chinny1985 from Wolverhampton , 05/07/2009
Star Wars The Force Unleashed is an action adventure game where you play as Darth Vader's apprentice 'Star Killer'. The game takes place between Episode III and IV of the Star Wars movies. The main attraction of the game is the force powers that at your disposal, which makes this game feel fresh and unique compared to other Star Wars games.Star Wars FU is alot of fun to play through but sadly has no lasting appeal. One play through and move on is all you need, but defiantly worth a rent!

garyp232 from Bury , 17/06/2009
not a bad game, bit repetitive but the story line is worth a ganders if u are a star wars fan.
Dragon83uk from Birmingham [Highly rated reviewer] , 16/06/2009
Any Star Wars fan worth their salt will love this game. In it you take on the role of The Apprentice (no not the Alan Sugar one!) travelling through his own personal storyline in the Star Wars universe. He has all the force powers one could want at his disposal and of course, where would any Star Wars game be with the lightsaber? Which, as seems to of become another standard, is fully customisable. This game truly makes the lead character feel like a force to be reckoned with and its a testament to the developers that you never seem to tire of throwing stormtroopers round like ragdolls! That's not to say that the game is simple. Other enemies you will need to take down include AT-AT's (them big walking things), rancors (bloody big monsters with sharp teeth and an attitude problem) and even an Imperial Starship (just ridiculously huge!!). Luckily this game is not only a good hack and slash game it also has quite puzzling elements which have the character affecting the environment in seemingly impossible ways. Unfortunately the actual game itself is quite short and should be completable within a day or two. Luckily the achievements go some way to saving the game from this problem by bringing a viable reason for replayability. Definitely worth a rent!!
matgrowcott from Telford , 06/06/2009
It is difficult to judge this game too harshly. Despite beautiful graphics, an interesting story and enough force powers to make the average Star Wars fan wet his pants, the very nature of the game means that it soon gets repetitive and dull. It's a nice stress relief, throwing wookies over bridges and cutting down endless amounts of Storm Troopers, robots and aliens: but that is about it. I managed to play the game through in less than 10 hours and haven't touched it again since.+Nice cameos, great music, great graphics, very true to the Star Wars brand-Repetitive gameplay is fun for a while, Occasionally annoying camera, The answer to puzzles can sometimes be overly oblique causing you to die several times.6.5/10
Rushty from Lincoln [Highly rated reviewer] , 04/06/2009
this game is poor. the only reason it got any stars at all is because it looks so pretty. unfortunately this isn't an art competition, its a game and there is more to it than looks. once you get over the novelty of force pushing people around, which i got over after an hour of mass effect 2 years ago, there is very little to keep you entertained.the gameplay is terrible. controls are counter intuitive and hard to use. the combat system is basic and boring, lacking any real depth. the camera system makes it almost impossible to see your characters sometimes. even worse, it makes it almost impossible to lock onto targets to use the force skills. movement is terrible and reminiscent of very very old ps1 football games, where the player just faces the direction you push, rather than stopping, pivoting and turning properly. it doesn't feel natural or real in any way. don't get me wrong, i love challenging games, but i want to be challenged by the game, not the control system. i have never had a game since project gotham 3 where i have wanted to hurl my controller at the wall so many times. in pgr3 this was a good thing, because when you eventually won you felt good. in this you just want the game to do what you tell it to without screwing you over.the game is poorly optimized. another review mentioned that gta4 can load a whole city without any loading screens. this kind of thing really irritates me about games now. with the technology available, there is really no excuse for long loading screens. even the menus, which are basic, take a relatively long time to load. this totally breaks the suspension of disbelief and ruins the gaming experience.honestly, i am not a fan of the star wars franchise in general. this is because i am unaware of it, not that i know and don't like it. this probably puts me in as good a position as any to rate this game since i have no previous biases. i have played many games and this is toward the bottom of my table. i compared this to mass effect earlier because i think there are many comparisons to be drawn. they allow the player to manipulate the laws of physics to achieve goals rather than casting spells. i find this good since i am a physicist by profession (a physicist that doesn't know anything about star wars?!?) but whilst mass effect is a rich environment offering many possibilities to have a lot of fun, SWTFU just ends up frustrating and irritating you to the point of madness. But it does look a lot better than ME.If you are a die hard star wars fan, you might enjoy this. If you are someone who enjoys playing good games, stay away. I am so glad I rented this because I can send it back as soon as I'm done writing this review.
RossP from Glasgow , 28/05/2009
Good graphics and game play, took 600 gamer points from it, enjoyed the story line as well, although you dont care for the characters as much as COD4 for example, it does do justice to Star wars, and luckly no JAR JAR BINKS,
A customer from England , 20/05/2009
This is a great game!! If like Star wars its a MUST HAVE game.Force Powers and flexibility of kill methods is really fun and unlike some 3rd person fighting games, it has a plot that pulls you in and combo's are easy to learn. If you want all acheivements buy it. Getting all the 500+ kills with X method, takes alot of time.So does playing it at least twice (once for collectables, once on max difficulty).IF you just want to play it and get most of the points its a 13 hour play through on Sith Master diff, and both endings.
Freak from Rotherham , 17/05/2009
k, so it's a bit fun in places... Having force powers and things is good but the game itself has a number of drawbacks... Save points are in some really stupid places... Particularly annoyingly not just after boss battles. Jumping tends to be a seriously hit and miss affair!!! You kind of have to pray you'll reach your target as judging the depth within the environments is stupidly hard sometimes and you either fall short or fly past it completely!!! Repetitive sequences too... Run, fight, run, jump, fight! Bit of fun at times... But rather falls short of the mark! Remember the days when Lucas Arts made good games like Sam N Max Hit the Road and Monkey Island... Those are gone, long gone... No more in-house production, mainly Star Wars games, the spark has gone!
vmac from Darlington , 08/05/2009

BigShep from Warrington , 18/04/2009
Like most Star Wars Games you always want to be part of the Jedi Order or the Dark Side. Had loads of fun playing this game, couldn't put it down. Graphics are fantastic especially in 1080p, Loads of combos to learn and master, Camera can some times be frustrating when up aganist multiple opponents. Some hidden Star Wars gems in the back ground like the Millenium Falcon....................Great Game, Highly recommended. Think I'll prob buy it or rent again............. hmmmm choices.
DustyFoSure from Bishop's Stortford , 06/04/2009
Think of a sand filled timer it starts full and brimming at the top and slowly everything is drained from the top and collects in the stagnant bottom section. very much like this game it starts brilliantly with all the force powers going mental and things being blown up and classic lightsaber use but at the end of the day it gets really repetitive and things just don't seem so exciting anymore....none the less worth a good rent for fun times then send it back!

Now, when I first started playing this game, and realised how much was EXACTLY the same as the Fable engine (the way you skill up, even the use of skill 'orbs' etc) - I was a little disheartened..HOWEVER, the game is actually pretty fun and challenging to play. There are plenty of cool combos to learn with some wicked awesome effects etc.Storyline is pretty good as you see the main character evolve.Only downsides for me were:FMV sequences at really odd places, which get real annoying when its near a high-death point (i.e. every time you die you have to sit through it).Can be a little difficult getting used to throwing things in the actual direction you want them to go (especially when fighting Darth Vader in a round room and trying to get everything to go to the middle.Who knows? Maybe it is just me :)I would definitely recommend others playing this game to see what they think! It has potential!

The game is fun for a while but when you're done sandboxing around electrocuting stromtroopers there really isn't much to it. The storyline is weak given it does nothing but follow another character around the Universe while he hacks and slashes away at innocent creature whilst tormented by the darkside, the camera angles make mw wonder if the cameraman could be a 6 year old with the attention span of a donut and the 'choice' system consists of nothing more than a single 'Fight Person A or B' at the end to choose your destiny: thus any actions you make throughout the game mean nothing. Is it fun? Yes, it took me a long time to get fed up of force blasting Jawas into things and chucking them around, but it's hardly groundbreaking and it can be completed in a matter of hours. One final note: LOAD TIMES! Frustrating to have to wait 15seconds between OPTIONS MENUS! Can't even move from game options to the levelling up sequence without a load screen!Still, really really good fun, just don't expect anything special.

When they announced that they where releasing yet another star wars game i could not help but think 'not another half baked game based losely on star wars can't the just give it a rest' however being a big star wars fan i just could not help my self and rented it and i must admit i was wrong it was a awesome game and has become one of my absolute favourite games to date i love the combat system and the detail put into the game is mind blowing the story is gripping and keeps you wanting more also the fact that they have made the force much more central to the game and inreased its power dramaticly is great it is a huge improvement from the games of old and a must have for any star wars fan

I was lookin at getting this game but decided to hold off, thankfully I have saved myself lots of money. It is fun, but after a while becomes repetitive, even with the force upgrades. It can also be rather frustrating at times with the camera not showing you exactly what you need to be looking at. On the whole definitely worth renting, especially if your Gamerscore needs a boost, maybe wait until the price comes down before buying the game if you really want to keep it.
A customer from Nottingham , 23/02/2009
The graphics are second to none... but the gameplay is so repetitive, annoying jumps, that you need to learn the exact route of. This becomes extremly annoying when it kills you and puts you back to the begining of the section each time. There is no real freedom to roam, a very boring developer guided game, which will make you die on an annoying jump only to force you to watch some graphically pleasing video (that you can't skip) so on the 4th or 5th time it WILL wind you up!!!Wouldn't bother even renting it... played for a few hours, put it back in the envelope and sent it back.

I enjoyed playing this, I'm not really a 'collector' so I don't go looking around for every hidden gem but did manage to pick up 4-5 different Saber colours. However, I felt this was too short to give it 5 stars, I completed it within two days - I am off work at the moment though so it obviously would've taken me longer if I'd not been sat at home. The cut scenes are very good, they didn't do enough with the love-storyline though, however maybe that was their goal, to have a slight cliche but nothing major. It ties to mysterious time between Epi 3 and New Hope though which was cool to see. I didn't think there was very much player-driven change to be had, I came in to this not knowing all that much about the storyline, but I was hoping there'd be oportunity to choose between being a Sith or Jedi - too much KOTR I guess :)
A customer from Stoke-on-Trent , 11/02/2009
I expected a little more from this title, the physics engine was wonderful, and great graphics, but a little limited in what you can do, the scope for this engine was fantastic and it just seemed a little half hearted, could have been so much more, but a good rental for any star wars fan.

My son enjoyed played non stop
GamerGilly from Burton-on-Trent , 07/02/2009
Plus points: Graphics and cut scenes/film sequences. Simply awesome, never seen anything of this quality before. Force powers are much better represented than previous star wars games I've played, and you're constantly learning. Those who have said that the combat is repetitive - it's as repetitive as you make it, try something different each attack and its not repetitive, is it!!Negative: Lightsabers!! Since when have they been clubs, and since when have weirdass shield things been able to stop them?? I want to see dismembered clone troops and felucians with no heads, not be beaten by clubs!!I'd still reccommend it though! Awesome game!!
GERRARD08 from Grantham, England , 28/01/2009
NOT A BAD ATTEMPT, ON AN ALL READY AMAZING FRANCHISE, WHEN I FIRST HEARD OF THIS GAME, I NEVER KNEW WHAT TO THINK, AFTER THE WHOLE BATTLEFRONT SAGA, BUT IT WAS NOT A BAD GAME, GOOD CONTROLS, EXCELLENT GRAPHICS, NOT BAD STORY, GOT ABIT REPETATIVE, BUT THAT WAS TO BE EXPECTED. ALL IN ALL, GOOD ATTEMPT, WELL WORTH A GO, EVEN IF IT'S JUST TO USE THE FORCE AGAINST PEOPLE, GOOD FUN.
Paul C from Chelmsford Essex [Highly rated reviewer] , 17/01/2009
Great to control you own Jedi yet again but i found a little bit the same level after level but with different back drops i may not have given this game enough time and it may have got better but 2 hours of the same drove me to look for a different game. If you are a Force Fan you will have to get it.
A customer from Llandudno , 10/01/2009
I enjoyed this game had all the star wars perks to it, you an upgrade a lightsaber and change it's colours and use different force powers and the game lasts awhile for a good play and would deffinately reccomend
A customer from Lytham St. Annes , 09/01/2009
Really really good game but it gets only 2 stars for being 6 hours long on 'Hard'.DLC is available for it now but its 800 points for not allot of content.rent it, rinse it for gamer points then send back and wait for the hopefully much longer sequel!
A customer from Billingham, North-East , 07/01/2009
Good game, now i have not seen any of the films but i get the ghissed. Jedi Good! Sith Bad!And you play as darth's apprentice, Who is striving to master the force be it bad or good.Anyway i thought it was going to be a button basher but i was extremly suprirised, You build your combos and powers up gradually and the story line, cut scenes are good.Acheivements are good too, Plenty to keep you going for a couple of days anyway. My 1st reveiw be nice! LOL
A customer from Plymouth , 17/12/2008
A great Star Wars game
A customer from Swindon , 07/12/2008
Great visuals, the graphics are top and everything runs very smoothly. Sound again is very atmospheric and the cutscenes work nicely with the storyline (and I'm guessing this is pre-Ep4)Such a shame though, I started playing this Friday night, and finished it Sunday afternoon, and I wasn't playing all the time. I know it takes more storage/time to make levels etc, but even so for a full price game it'll be played and left to gather dust.Definately one to rent though as it's then not a waste of money :)Well worth playing, and hope they produce more Star Wars games of this quality.
A customer from NOTTINGHAM , 30/11/2008
this game is probably the best star wars game ever and will probably be for a long. Also is you are a big star wars fan then this should be at the top of your rental list.
A customer from Gloucester , 29/11/2008

Bluebottle from Washington , 27/11/2008
Okay, I'll try and keep this simple. The good:It's Star WarsLightsabers and dark force powers.Good story with nice little plot twists and some lovely humour.Graphics and sound are excellent, as is the voice acting.Controls are well laid out and function well. The bad:It's Star Wars (hey, you either love or you don't)Targeting system is very hit and miss (see what I did there!) and would have benefitted from being able to switch between targeting objects and enemies.Occassional glitches spoil the gameplay. Can often be confusing and frustrating. I died a lot when an enemy knocked me over and by the time my character had stood back up, I was knocked down again before I could do anything.Overall:This is not a bad Star Wars game, but as is often the case, it could have been better. A better targeting system and an indicator to tell you where the hits are coming from would make the fighting less frustrating.Star Wars fans will like it. Other gamers will probably find better games of this type around.
A customer from Baldock , 18/11/2008
I had great hopes when i rented this game hopeing for fast passed gameplay with great graphice and i have to say i was not let down. This game is great it delivers you straight into the action as darthvader himself then you become his apprentice learning to use the force and battle your way through some fantastic missions with great game play and grathics i would def advise you to rent this game its great fun and i will now def go out and buy it MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU
A customer from Reading , 04/11/2008
When i first played the demo fo this game i thought the gameplay was brilliant and the graphics were amazing, the amount of detail put into the enviroments is great and thats what a lot games lack today. Plain enviroments just eventually make you bored. The difficulty however was hard when facing mini-bosses but i guess that was because i was new to the game and getting the hang on it. When i rented the game and played through it getting as many achievements as i could i loved it. Story was good although it skipped some things and the levels/enemies were created so well. The Game engine (Euphoria) was created for this game by the developers, GTA 4 ripped it off although that game was awesome as well.Good Points: Awesome Gameplay, Amazing Graphics, Great StoryBad Points: Can be difficult in some places, a couple of sound glitches, kinda short.
A customer from Swindon , 03/11/2008
well im telling you now ignore ALL of the bad comments you hear about this game, this is the first game ive rented from this website which i DIDN'T want to return. i may buy this in the future when it is cheap and i need to relive the experience againfirst of all i want to take my hat off to the developers and artists (everyone involved in this game) because its easily one of my fave games on the 360, sure there is a FEW bugs and glitches but NO game is perfectto all the people who say it is too short obviously played the game all day without taking a break. i played one or two levels at a time and then carried on later that day or the day after.i can only think of a few bad things i can say about this game and they are the odd sound glitch and one time i fell out of the map ( if this happens go to the training room on the pause menu and then back out again and you will continue from where you left off)okay the good things about this gamethe story~: great story which fits between star wars episode 3 and episode 4The graphics~ WOW, the graphics are brilliant in this game, wait and see for yourself the backgrounds even look beautiful too. Even better in HD :)Sound~ i had one sound glitch but the rest is perfect from the sound of the lightsaber to the blasters, the enemies everything is top notch heregameplay~ i had alot of fun with this, some people may say it gets repetitive but i say they dont know how to use the force. i never got bored of fighting and there is so many ways to kill an enemy. The boss battles are really good aswellGET THIS GAME!!!!!

Really good graphics and gameplay but after 10 minutes of constantly smashing the X button to hit enemies it gets repetetive and boring.
A customer from Pontefract , 25/10/2008
I loved this game from start to finish, dont know how they managed it, but i felt like a jedi for the first time in any star wars game.. rent it now, you wont be disappointed
A customer from Milton Keynes , 24/10/2008
Finally a Star Wars game with a bit of an edge. Playing as Darth Vadar's apprentice you can finally start utilizing some of the powers of the Dark side, with force lightening and light saber impale. These were the good points however a number of factors let it don a bit. Firstly the story is pretty short and weak and ends badly, plus you dont get to fight Jedis in open battle, just in a structured boss battle, which was a shame.Overall a good, fresh addition to the Star Wars franchise.
A customer from Kilmarnock , 19/10/2008
If you wish to be continually frustrated with a horrible targetting system and silly button sequences then go ahead and rent this. Don't get me wrong the game is visually excellent and sits in nicely with the star wars saga but it just left me frustrated looking forward to finishing it so I could send it back. 1 star for the visuals but the rest let it down in my opinion. Oh and don't get me started on the loading screens to alter my characters appearance or power ups. Come on, we shouldn't have see a loading screen for that in this day and age. One last thing, the camera angles are horrific, especially when your character is hidden on screen or dissappeared in the middle of a boss fight, a very helpful attribute I'd say (Note my sarcastic tone).

This game works perfectly at making you feel like a jedi, good graphics, very fun to play and some nice cut sequences make it feel great.game has a few glitches that spoil the fun at points but will only take you about 7 hours to complete and gain over 400 gamerscore.
DZSAM from barrnham.england , 04/10/2008
this game is not only fun to play but imensly good in nearly every department it has gr8 story line and graphics not forgetting the gr8 gameplay the only to thigns it was lacking was length of the story and online play but besides these small downfalls overall a 5out of 5.p.s the fact u can change ure costume and lightsaber was very kl
