Hard to master - but great fun

This game can be rather frustrating at first - it's all-to-easy to just spin around when you're accellerating off, but when you're used to the controls it's very rewarding.

The most impressive aspect is the replay of a race, where you can view from most angles a frame-by-frame replay, in forwards/reverse. It's like watching crash tests!

Download the demo on the PS3 to get a good idea of what it's like and if it's for you.

Offline is good fun, but the best laughs are on the multiplayer. If you aren't playing this online YOU'RE MISSING OUT!

The online is an emotional rollercoaster somwhere between bite your nails off stress to bitter hatred of every other driver on the track. Great stuff! (being serious here) Best racer on PS3 until the full version of GT comes out.

Very very good driving game

Race Driver:Grid, the sort of game that is a bit of everything. Its technical, and yet not too deep a la GT.

I personally found it very challenging and entertaining, enough options to keep everyone happy and the cars look superb. Also the tracks here look brilliant and the variety of different racing variations from le mans to formula 3000 to destruction derby are going to keep you playing for weeks! Even my girlfriend loved it and she doesnt play alot of games! (she did love venting her anger online on destruction derby, which makes me think i'll drive next time we go out)

I would have liked to see a few more tracks, but thats just my opinion. Theres plenty otherwise to get your teeth into. Great game!

THIS IS A GOOD GAME BUT ALL CODEMASTER GAMES ARE STRUCTURED VERY SIMILAR AND THEY CHARGE FOR CODES VIA PHONE WHICH IS MEAN. THIS HAS THE BENEFIT OF REWIND WHICH IS A SMART FEATURE BUT DISRUPTS THE FLOW OF A RACE A FAIR BIT. THE BEST THING IS THE SENSE OF SPEED, THE WORST ARE THE NIGHT STAGES WHICH ARE ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO SEE AROUND. WORTH A GO.

This game is absolutely amazing. I bought it a while after it came out because I didnt think it would be that good but I was blown away.

The graphics are absolutely superb. And the controls are amazing when you play a few races of crashing.

But the best thing about it for me was the sheer variation of races available it has everything! From touring car tournament to drifting, from Formula One to Destruction Derby. I think the best race mode is Downhill Drift, it reminds me of fast and furious tokyo drift soo much, especially at night.

The online is great too there is plenty of people playing and many different tastes when it comes to the voting. There isnt any lagg or at least not for me.

Another thing the cars are all amazing my favorite being the Aston Martin DB9 or the Konesseig (However you spell it lol)

Overall if you like racing games even a bit you will adore this game its like TOCA / NFS Underground. BUY IT! Its only £17 when I last seen it.

50/10 ;)

Good graphics, great music and even though it's arcade not sim game it is not Need for speed, so if you expect to 'bumb' your way through to the finish without using the brakes once, forget about this game it's not NfS.

Not enough cars and tracks thou, gets repetitive very fast.

The controls are realistic but not as painful as Grand Turismo, the graphics are brilliant, the cars are amazing, the AI is great, online play is brilliant.

The driving is perfect, if you floor the accelerator when in first gear the car will spin, hence people thiink the control is horrible, but if you know how to drive and apply that to the game you will love it. I own GT5 Prologue and have rented Grid. I play GT 5 for split screen only, for one player or multiplayer GT 5 is just tooo boring when compared to GRID. The lack of car control in GT 5 is annoying.

I think GRID is the best racing game on the PS3 at the present moment. Fully recommend it for People who like car games, specially for those who are frustrated with the lack of control on cars in GT 5. I mean in GT 5 you pull the handbrake and the car barely spins, you turn at 40 and the car goes straight.... I find GT 5 very very frustrating!

The most entertaining driving simulator on the market.

It does not have the repetitive buying of mufflers, and intercoolers like grand turismo.

It is a very frustrating game to begin with, but bear with it. The amount you pull the trigger determins how much throttle you the car, so if you press the trigger down hard and try and turn you will spin, like in real life. Look at the trottle bar to the right of the speedo.....

I love this game, and is fast becomming my favorite game of all time......

The graphics are good, the game looks good, the idea of buying cars etc is good but the controls let it all down. The acceleration is to fast, braking is too fast, for example at the 50M board going into the final chicane at the nurburgring, i brake and can get through the corner in a really low class single seater!!! Also the steering is way over reactive, if you have the in car view it makes you dizzy because it is so ott :(

This has to be the best racing game on the market at the present time!!! It may even get itself that well laid in that GT5 if it ever gets released may have problems to budge it!!! The best feature in the game is the flashback feature that allows to replay the game from where it all went wrong for you!!! Whether that be cos you hit a curb that little bit too hard or cos you got muscled out into the first corner!!!

Like i said its up there as the best racing game this year at least! So definitely Top 10 for me!!!

Ok, well this game looked as if it was going to be incredible. but it sadly wasn't due to the fact that the cars handle really poorly, you only get to use the flashback option a certain amount of times which you crash due to not being able to see the way to go properly, cars get damaged way to easily! u crash slightly into the back of another car and that's it you have to start the race again, even on the very easy setting the game is still incredibly hard on some races. one of the cool things is how it can say ure name lol :P.and they do have some prety darn cool cars :) that's all i have to say.
