Rated - 4 starsIt's good to be bad...

Scrimble from Teddington , 23/09/2008

Jedis might get all the attention, but the real stars of the Star Wars universe have to be the Sith. Think about it: who’s more awesome, the goody-two-shoes farmboy, or the double-ended lightsaber wielding horror clown? Exactly. Now you don’t get to play as Darth Maul here, but you do get to play as a brand new apprentice to Lord Vader, and abusing the Force to decimate wookies, rebels and Stormtroopers alike is the pinnacle of evil fun.

The graphics and physics are exceptional, so when you use Force Grip to throw and enemy through a space station’s window and out into the vortex of space, it looks as awesome as it sounds. Chuck in a genuinely well-scripted and well-acted story, complete with beautiful cutscenes, and you’ve got the most impressive Star Wars experience since Knights of the Old Republic on the old Xbox.

The in-game camera occasionally places itself rather unhelpfully, and the Wii version's graphics don't compete with those on it's more powerful rivals, but Force Unleashed remains a great game even on the weaker platform. Rated - 3 starsA bit disappointing

A customer from UK , 23/09/2008

Not terrible, but nothing special. Plays like a PS2 game with tacked on Wii controls - and what should have been the highlight - using the Wiimote to control a lightsaber - is a real let down, no real skill, just flailing around the trigger a small number of pre-set attacks.

the only let down is the lightsabre action, we all thought, with the wii remote, this game would be awesome, and whilst the game itself is very good, and not difficult to play, the lightsabre moves dissapointingly, are not what they should be, you only use about four different moves, instead of having the freedom to weild your lightsabre naturally. That said, the force powers are excellent, you get a feeling of extreme naughtyness, as you give someone a jolt with the force lightning, and choke the proverbial out of people.

Rated - 3 starsOver In A Flash

A customer from York , 06/10/2008

I rented this on behalf of my fella, as this isnt my kinda game, it arrived fortunately when both fella and my good self were of work and uni. My Wii moved to his house where i witnessed him changed from a fully grown man to raving loony over night. All well and good, but normally a game will take him maybe a 14 to 15 hours to complet a game, but for what this game costs new, it only took him 7 and a half hours. pretty pitiful, and i got sick of the foul language over the controllers! lol. He wasnt impressed. Both of us were glad we hadn't shelled out good money for it.

Rated - 3 starsDisappointing Star Wars game

DarthHoob from Wellingborough , 21/06/2009

At first glance this game is pretty good. It opens with you playing Darth Vader, who lands on the wookiee homeworld to embark on a secret mission (I won't mention anymore so as not to spoil it for anyone).

The controls are very basic. Wave your wii remote around to execute lightsabre moves, use the B and A buttons to jump and throw your sabre, and the nunchuk you use to move around and use your force powers.

You get various upgrades to your sabre (colour & damage), outfit and force moves as you progress, and yes it is fun picking up stormtroopers and slamming them into walls, off gantries and even into each other. But after a while the whole experience can become a little tedious. Each level has at least one big boss to tackle, usually a large robot, sith/jedi or an AT-ST. These in themselves are quite fun, but once you've done a few it becomes very repetetive. Especially when you find yourself retreading a world again later on in the game.

The graphics and sound are pretty good. Though the cutscenes are a letdown. I've seen better on a PS2.

The only thing that's exclusive to the Wii version is the 2 player mode, which enables you to go head to head with a friend in a battle not unlike some of the 2 player fight games. Just not as good as most on the market right now.

Once you've completed it there is very little to bring you back. Save for finding a few items you missed the first time round. You can't even select the levels, you literally go back to the start again.

So overrall a bit of a letdown. I was hyped up to play this. But found it very linear and rather disappointing.

Rated - 1 starLame

A customer from Taunton , 19/05/2009

With great excitement and expectation at the thought of wielding a light sabre I launched in to battle. 10 minutes later i was left bored and dissapointed. The game play is dull and uninspiring. thinking things must improved I continued on for two more hours, these would have been better spent rubbing chilli in my eyes. The graphics are poor and the action lame.

In summary I am so glad I didnt but this game, best avoided even if you are the most avid of fans.

Rated - 5 starsUse the force !!

A customer from Camberley, England , 24/03/2009

A truly additive game, nothing quite like throwing round the enemies with the force.

Although I rented it, I might just go out and buy it now !!

Rated - 1 starNot for me

A customer from Nottingham , 23/03/2009

Couldn't get into this at all - the move combinations were too complicated for a technophob like me

Rated - 4 starsGood game but control could be improved

A customer from Edinburgh , 13/01/2009

A great way to blast away a couple of hours but gameplay could get tedious. A good game overall and something to have if you are a Star Wars fan. Will be adding to the might buy list but wont be rushing out this weekend.

Rated - 5 starsloved it

A customer from Rochdale , 16/11/2008

this game is great, although it is quite short but its kinda fun playin the game again with all your suped up abilities. im not a massive star wars fan and you really dont have to be one at all to play and love this game.

Rated - 2 starsMeh..

A customer from Billingshurst , 08/11/2008

Its an alright game, graphics average for the wii.

the story line is too short, it took me 10 odd hours to complete and there arent any other features to the game.

a good start to the starwars Wii games, they can only improve from here

Rated - 3 starsThe Force WITHOUT a leash

A customer from Harrow , 01/11/2008

I'm all for adventure games and Ninja Gaiden type games so I held a lot of hope on this being the Wii equivalent of Ninja Gaiden 2. It starts off pretty well and the storyline flows well so it showed promise. The main problem is the main character is WAY too powerful. I found I managed to hack/slash my way through the first three levels with little or no effort.

All in all, it's a good Star Wars games and the story flows well between the movie trilogies but I feel cashing in more on the franchise than really extending itself as a game. It seems almost like it's restraining itself.

The best Wii game yet as well as being the best Star Wars game ever. Everything you could have wanted it to be. If I could give it more stars I would.
