The mini games generally are better but not sure that the boards have improved. In my opinion the Mario Party 5 and 6 boards are better although Mario Party 7 offers a better variety of board strategies. Definately worth the rent in order to make up your own mind. If you liked the others or have not tried the party games, try it out!
