Rated - 4 starsVery good

If this game is nothing else, its FUN. The first time you hit a guy with your Psi Attack bolt and watch him fly across the room and collapse in a crumpled heap is one of the more satisfying gaming moments of this day and age. Games where you have psychic powers have always been cool, but Second Sight really makes you feel powerful. You can also pick up guns and because of the limited useability of your psi powers, you'll have to. But really the most fun to be had is with said powers. The story isn't bad too, and the whole game has a satisfyingly polished feel. Developed by the guys at Free Radical (famous for Timesplitters), Second Sight keeps the companys trademark human forms, as well as some pleasingly nostalgic sounds! The whole game feels like a 3rd person Timesplitters with psychic abilities and it works, for the most part, fantastically well. Only a 4 though, because about halfway through it became annoyingly hard and the stealth element became a necessity rather than an option WAY too many times. But still, rent this game NOW! Especially if you're a fan of Timesplitters, but even if you're not.

Try out all the control optons before you get suck in, as the default settings seem a bit queer. A great game with good storyline and animation.

Rated - 2 starsGreat Idea - Poorly Implemented

This seemed to be the sort of game I normally go for - action, mystery, attack, FPS. The story seemed good and the graphics looked great.

However, when I played the game I got very very frustrated. The camera angles were all wrong and made movement incredibly awkward. Occasionally the camera would lock onto me and make it so I couldn't move - not a good thing in the middle of a firefight.

In the end I gave up and sent it back after only a couple of levels and about an hour of gameplay.

Not recommended.
