Rated - 1 starTOTAL CRAP!

CRAIGY from SANE LAND , 15/11/2007

If ever i wanted to kill myself. This game would push me over the edge! What a pile of crap! graphics(CRAP),gameplay (CRAP), I could go on but i think you get the picture. I actually bought this game imagine my dissapointment! i could not belive a game so hyped could be so bad and they put pictures on the back of the cover NOT screenshots! to trick you into buying it WHAT A RIP OFF! Shame on you EIDOS! It was so bad i had to take it back to the shop the next day after trying to like it cause i'd bought it. Basically it's CRAP, AVOID LIKE A ONE EYED WHORE WITH THE CLAP!

Just cause is an extreamly good game, the missions are easy in the start but gradualy get harder thought the game. There are also alot of side missions which sadlay get abit repetetive once youve done them 5 or 6 times. The other advantages are free rome wich alows you to do pretty much anything you want including stunts, parachut jumps and car jacks there is also a vast aray of weapons wich are very usefull in missions in lots of differant ways.

its a good game but not up to the hype i keep on hearing about. the missions are easy at the start then get harder theres alot of side missions as well but they can be repetative once you do it for the fifth time. but you will get plenty of hours out of this. the first day i got it it already played it for 7 hour 33 mins so worth getting.

Rated - 4 starsVery Good

A customer from Leeds , 26/03/2007

Not a bad game at all! Very much a copy of Grand Theft Auto but set on an island near South America. Some of the missions are excellent with a large range of tasks. Good story line. However I must agree with the previous review in that it can sometimes feel a bit repetitive.

However there are some nice touches like the helicopter pick up and equipment drops.

Rated - 2 starsJust Dont!

BingoBongo from Bristol , 18/03/2008

When I spotted this title - I instantly stuck it on my list. The fond memories of running around shooting anything and everything. Jumping on a motorbike thats just been dropped by a chopper, stealing a plane and looking at the amazing views of the islands and then parachuting out mid-flight - great.

Well, yeah memories are like that - great. Unless of course you whack on a game that has really aged badly totally destroying any hint of nostalgia (yeah alright its not massively old) . I first played this shortly after its release, and at the time it was a great title (if a little repetitive). However, its now a jagged mess (when played on the PS3) that means your constantly squinting at the screen to try and decipher what the hell is going on. Its a bit of a one trick pony - go to a village, liberate it, and on to the next. YAWN!

There are much better titles out there - dont waste your time waiting for the postman!

Good game but not quite up to GTA yet

the parachute is very fun though and a good way to escape police

Rated - 3 starsNo alternative to the GTA Series

Craig Abrahams from Basingstoke, England , 25/04/2007

GTA games are perhaps my favorite for the playstation. However the annoying wait between games forces me to look at alternatives. I have found so far that they fall into two catagories, blindingly good or absolute tosh. Just Cause creates a middle ground. It certainly wont have you up at 3 in the morning saying 'Im going to give this mission one more try ' However it will every now and then get you thinking that you want to give it another shot.

Just cause revolves around one merc and his mission to destablise a 'fictional country' ( Cuba with a different name, god I love political correctness ) The storyline is good, doing the dirty work for the CIA and getting to destroy a lot of stuff in the process. On the possitive side, there are vehicle drops which means no more breaking down in the middle of nowhere and then spending the next 10-15 minutes mashing the run faster button back to a main road ( Just GTA does have faults like that ) and there are plenty of side missions which get you better weapons and bases to distract you when you get stuck on a the main storyline. However the bad points are that the side missions are very repetative and that a lot of the action ends up taking place in the jungle meaning that getting from a-b is not always easy.

To summerise, JC will frustrate you repeatedly, however its learning curve and storyline missions are enough to keep you coming back for more.

Rated - 3 starsGreat game

But it can get pretty repetitive quickly. The size of the island is great, and can keep you busy for a while (although it can be frustrating getting to places).
