this game was the best first person shooter i have ever been on it easily out ranks the likes of rainbow six vegas and GRAW it is a definate recommendation for me it is worth renting and the graphics are amasing

This Game is a must have if your on Xbox live, it is so much fun, It isnt the average run of the mill FPS it combines magic with excellent gunplay.

However the bad things about the game is the limited number of maps 7 i think in all, and there is no single player it is only online, and for an only online game you would think that there were loads of different online options but there isnt its just basic shott em up with magic.

It is a very creative game and is a welcome change from the normal FPS but lacks greatly in options and go backabiltiy gets boring quickly but a good rental.

Boring!! Halo 3 is much better. The magic and tech trees are an interesting addition to this type of game, the lack of a single player campaign, the lack of maps, and the lack of interesting mission types let the game down alot. As a fan of the original Shadowrun games i was hoping for something alot more satisfying. Avoid this game.

all in all this is a very good game if you dont mind the fact that if your climbing up a ladder it looks like your walking up a flight of stairs.

the map choices leave a lot of room for improvment with only 7 maps and not nearly enough game play modes the devlopers shoud think about realesein an expanson pack for free to download off the internet or the x box live market place

dont get me wrong i spent a good two days non-stop playing it but it was the little things that kept nipping at me so for that reason only ,

i am giving shadowrun 4 out of 5

Shadowrun is a very good game. Not only graphically but in gameplay aswell. Putting the lack of story line behind (where it should belong) this great First Person Shooter from the makers of CRACKDOWN is a must play for any FPS fan. Using the same graphic engine as crackdown, Microsoft Studios and RealTime Worlds have created yet another perfect game. If you ever played Turok Rage Wars on the nintendo 64 (and liked it) this is the game for you. This game consists of a variety of team battles including games such as death maches and capture the flag. With each race of caracter having their very own powers/abilties choosing your team can be rather technical and crucial for a well balanced team. Connect to Xbox Live to increase the fun. Once again this a must have for any FPS fan out there.

I will start this review by first stating that this is an online only game, (with the exception of a few training levels) so if you haven't got xbox live gold membership, then don't bother. I was generally expecting a lot more from this game to ultimate find that there are very few levels and the graphics are very much last generation. The combination of guns and magic seemed to be an excellent gimic, although it didn't take me long before I got bored and stuck Call of Duty back in my xbox and posted this one back.

when i first played this game i was close 2 sending it bck, but i got more in 2 it once i played a few games and ended up buying it,

Shadowrun, for what it is worth is a great multiplayer game where you can play any of the four available races (troll, dwarf, human or elf) and each has their own advantages such as the dwarf absorbs energy from objects and other players, whereas the troll's armour gets harder as it recieves more damage. Elves run faster and can regenerate health and humans have a resistance to tech damage and suffer less penalties from equipping tech skills.

Shadowrun is a break from the series since it is a first-person shooter and the other games are RPGs but do not let it put you off. It is a well balanced and addictive game which will see you coming back for more.

Some of the problems with the game are the lack of maps, gamemodes and character customisation - which may be a dealbreaker for some but for me it was dealable.

I would recommend this game to any FPS player who is looking for a break from the norm or likes magic combined into an FPS - this game is so fun teleporting through walls and buildings you will just mess around for hours.

I love this game and so should the many people who own this great game but have stupidly pushed it to the side. This game may not have a storyline and only have training but that is because it is an all online game that is great fun and so easy to get the hang of. Good graphics, fun, good controls, good gore effects and alright achievments but they will take a while and are things like win 100 matches etc and will depend on who often you play the game. I bought it for £5 in a 4 for £20 from gamestation with my mates and are easily pleased with my result. GREAT GAME BUY DONT RENT.

A MUST GET GAME Long life span, very fun online or single player but playing with others is always fun, the graphics compliment the gameplay and considering how old the game is the graphics are still very good, the gameplay is very fun and each class can be used strategically, each game is never the same and the bots are actually kind of challenging on the hardest difficulty, apart from lack of maps and maybe lack of buyables the whole game is amazing and very challenging.

This takes the p***.

I must make it clear that this is pretty much an online only game so buying for anything else is pointless. ALthough the ideas for the gameplay and cross-platform multiplayer are good the game doesn't fit together very well and is not as easy to get into as other online games such as Halo or call of duty. Although the training missions do help and get you some easy achievement points it still doesn't explain the game objectives very clearly. The online modes do seem to work quite well but there is a lack of interest so not many still play it. I think this game would be better if it had an extended training which acts as a story mode to get more aware of the online gameplay. So I defiantly would not recommend buying it and it takes allot of time to get into so probably would not recommend renting it either and you would be better of going with something like Unreal Tournament instead.

Trying not to type too much,but simply if you want about 200 gamerpoints in 1 hour this is your game BUT if yor renting for fun dont waste one of your rentals get cod4 or 5 or even halo3.Dont even waste your time on it!

Theres not Even a Flipping solo-play or anything besides tutorials.

Nothing like halo 3 or call of duty, but thats a good thing in some aspects. The use of magic and technology allows the game to vary greatly every time you play it.

yes its got no singleplayer and the graphics could be better, but in my opinion its a game that you must try at some point (alot better when played with friends btw)

The game plays just like Counter Strike but with magic of all sorts. Allowing the player to purchase different abilities and weapons with money earnt each round.

Brilliant multiplayer game and cheap too!!

Rent it and then buy it if you like it.

when i first got this game i was very happy until i turned it on and found out that u have the gr8 pirvilidge of having 6 short tutorials for a storyline the rest u have to play online or in constant bot matches,and if u play online u shouldnt play this game because ure greeted by a bunch or nerds whu never stop shouting at u for only getting like 3 kills on ure first go and if like me u dont no wat guns to use on wat perticular race they have ago about that aswell ,so to put it blankly if u like repetive nerdy games buy or rent this one or if ure like me and dont want to play pointless amounts of online games or bot matches to get crappy acheivments dont rent this rent a good game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

wen i 1st played this game, I thought it was just going be 1 of normal 1 person shoot-em-up game, wen actually it's an online multiplayer game, and not the sort of game u do missions on.

Before renting this game i was unaware that it's all got to be played online. Not very good if you don't have XBL. The game also seems to be a little complicated having to know all of the specials etc

This is a really nice looking game, the graphics are great!.... the things that let it down is that there is no single player mode to allow you to get used to all the controls properly, just some dodgy 'training' sessions, which do tend to get a bit boring. Also the game seems to be complicated for the sake of it, far too many things to remember to have enjoyable gameplay. Is worth a rent, but I wouldn't advise buying it.

Good game with unique style of gameplay. Takes the oringinal fps gameplay and adds magic powers. Only bad points are the lack of game modes. Only having two Extraction (Capture the flag) and Attrition (Team Deathmatch). The other is no campain so if you dont have xbox live dont get it.

What a waste of a rental. When there are amazing multiplayer games around these days such as COD4 and Halo3... this game is shameful.

I managed to last through 4 tutorials and one online bout before packaging it back up to send off.

Avoid this game.

this game was excellent but it could have had a single player campain. the biggest problem was the game is slightly old now and not a lot of people are online with it so unless you know some people who have it you are not likely to find someone to play against.

This game is by far the best online FPS available, The magic is great the graphics are awsome. Beats Halo 3 to the ground. HALO 3 being a rubbish game is not that hard to beat anyway :) get it you wont regreat it.
