Well i was a little reserved after receiving this when i had read the other reviews that it was going to be bad. It is not just bad it is a major step back in time in terms of gameplay and graphics. The aiming system is terrible and the AI is woeful. There is not a single positive to this game. I thought i had seen the worst shooter based around the World War in 'Hour of Victory' but this actually makes that look amazing.

I would steer clear of this game but if you are like me and like the gamerscore then there are some easy achievements if you can put up with it to the bitter end!

do you like enimies that:

shoot you through walls?

not look at you while they fire their guns,mut magically,the bullets come out of their damned elbows?

stand INSIDE walls,boxes,any kind of cover?

don't really notice you untill you are right in their face? and even then they struggle to find you?

then you'll LOVE this game.

this is possibly the worst shooter ever made for the 360.i admit,if this came out a few years ago on the origional Xbox,it would have been awesome,but for a next gen title,this is rubbish.

the controlls are horrible too,and the game never really loads some of the context sensitive things like pressing buttons,pulling levers,or grappling enemies.i'm not going to compare this to halo,because halo is naff too,but compared to some other games out there,this looks even worse.

just avoid it.unless you want a few easy gamerpoints.(i don't think anyone plays this online)

This game is beyond terrible, the shooting is slow & unresponive, the movement is jumpy & ends up getting you stuck on every minute piece of scenery, the AI is stupid. All in all, terrible with absoloutely ZERO redeeming qualities.

I had high expectations for this game, due to the historical twist. What if Winston Churchill had died in 1931, and the Nazi's conquered Europe leading to an invasion of the USA?

Sounds great in theory, but the superb plot potential has been wasted in a sloppy game. There is hardly any plot to speak of, there is no characterisation for the man you play in the game and everything feels lazy.

Add on mediocre graphics, terrible hit detection, poor weapons and terrible AI and it all makes for a bad game. Good luck also getting a multiplayer match, as no-one is playing this online.

The only reason I am plaing this game is because its the weekend and it won't go anywhere till monday if I post it now! I saw that it was being sent to me just before I checked its reviews, and guess what, its all true, this game sucks! The next time some bright spark goes to a games company and says ' Ive got an idea for great new ww2 shooter' they should be thrown out the door. I'm sick of crap weapons with poor aiming, ww2 has been done to death ever since MoH on the ps1. All these 'new' ww2 games need to take a look at CoD4 and realise their time is over.

Turning Point isn't the worst game i have played. But is no where near the best either!!!

The graphics are below par and the checkpoints are rubbish!!! (Sometimes it feels like you have to redo half the level if you die!!!)

On the plus though it does have some cool grapple kill moments and the ability to use an enemy as a humansheilds feels good!!!

Achievements wise, I played one time through the game on normal difficulty and bagged myself 405 achievements points. It took about 8 hours approx.

If you can put up with the rubbish graphics and awful checkpoint postions then bag yourself some achievement points!!!

Otherwise you'r better sticking to any of the COD games!!!

If you own an Xbox 360 and are simply interested in getting achievement points then you can rack up an easy 290 points with this game.

Unfortunately, if you are looking for a good first person shooter then stay well clear of this. The graphics are disappointing to put it mildly. Whilst some of the environments arent too bad, the characters look like the producers went for the full realistic look and missed by a mile. The result is that you have Nazi soldiers that look like comic book versions of the real thing.

In one section I had killed all the enemy soldiers in the area and the AI Allies characters were still shooting as if the were being stormed by the whole Third Reich!

The aiming is atrocious. You know you have problems when you can shoot an enemy with a machine gun from 100 feet away without zooming in on them. In fact if you do zoom in on them you are more likely to miss.

I found the game to be very easy for the most part. However whilst I sailed through most of the game I suddenly got to one stage where it was like hitting a brick wall. The difficulty went from too easy, to suicide, in an instant. If the game had been better produced it would have been worth the effort but after being killed 10 times and sent back to the last checkpoint I decided to do something more worthwhile, like stare at a wall for an hour or two.

We are now in the 21st Century with consoles and computers that should have done away with this sort of dross. That something like this game could get anywhere near the marketplace, let alone be sold, is a sad confirmation that people will buy almost anything.

So, if you want a decent FPS and something to do with WW2, just get COD2, which is still infinitely superior to this game despite its age. If you've already played that, try Modern Warfare COD4 (not WW2 obviously).

I thought Hour of Victory was the worst (proper) game on the 360.....I was wrong. Everything about this game is rubbish, controls, level design, graphics, it's full of bugs and the checkpoints are terrible as well. I didn't even complete it after having to try the same crappy bit for the forth time. Apparently I got about half way through before I gave up, I'm quuite impressed with myself there but seriously, avoid it, go and do something better with your time like murder people.

When I first heard about this game I thought the idea seemed pretty original, yes it's another FPS for a console that seems overflowing with them but the plot was enough to get me interested at least.

I played the demo of this almost as soon as it was releaseed on XBL and found it to run ok, I mean there were the glitches I've gotten used to in demo's but they seemed to be ones that I imagined to be easily rectified.

This however was not the case, infact I'd go as far to say that the demo seemed slightly more playable! Maybe I just jumped into the game straight away knowing it was awful from the reviews and almost got myself ready for the horror, for example I did'nt even notice it only took one shot to kill most enemies on the demo and I started the game on hard too.

To sum up something that's already been said, it's terrible. The controls are buggy, the aiming system seems to jump from too slow on 'Medium' setting to uncontrolable on 'High'.

The graphics are PS2/XBOX standard. The voiceovers sound like they don't belong and were just pasted into the game at the last minute.

My advice is don't rent this game, you will be doing yourself a big favour not taking up one of your dvd slots.

Not what i expected..

After reading about this game i found it very interesting which is what got my attention, but sadly that is the only thing that is good about this game.

I found the controls awkward in game play, as well as the aiming which is horrible, the graphics you are able to cope with, but the style of the game is a sad let down.

This game would make a great title if remade to todays abilities, but i couldnt stop thinking this felt like one of the Consoles First ever FPS (first person shooter)

This game would be liked by people with simple enjoyments of games, but those who are serious gamers and like a challenge i would advise steering clear of this otherwise you too will send it back shortly after you got it as i did after the first level.

The story is a very original one and i couldnt wat to play it , you start off as a constuction worker on top of a soon to be skyscrapper when the invasion starts , so you set off killing germans and escapeing the city .

So to start the graphics are very !st gen xbox , this and the blandness of the graphics are the first bad point .

Three levels in and im still not enjoying ths game , actions such as climb and hanging fro rope , traversing ledges is more than clumsey to the point were sometimes the symbol does not appear and the buttons dont help so your left in the same spot for a while .The other thing is ropes/ledges sometimes are not so obvious an the above mentioned ledges are soetimes boreing , long and pointless.

Loading times are slow and it is very easy to lose inteest in this game , you think while your playing ' why am i playing this when i could be on dirt 2 '. I got that bored i went for a shave , this makes you wonder if your missing anything good on tv .

Loading points also happen at the most irritating times , and restarts come afew seconds after you press thebuttons .

Ok whats with the lift in the white house how long , dont worrie the gae hasnt crashed its just anoying , oh and look for the dumb waiter cos i didnt . Anoying is a good word to describe this game VERY ANOYING .Ok just how short can you make a game cos this took five hours on insaine so dont expect much unless your playing it with your feet then it might be a challenge .

Strange game, i actually liked the challenge of beating this on the hardest level even though the game is glitchy as hell - especially walls and objects as you have to take cover and come right out of cover before your gun will shoot round the corner!, dont play this after playing cod or any other decent fps as you will probably not put up with it until the second level. accept it as a glitchy unfinished game and you may enjoy the challenge of beating it! Played this again a few weeks after renting it and couldn`t believe i persevered through the whole game. Wouldn`t like to play it again.

Only play if you are patient and dont mind it crashing now and again!! Also its hard to find online games.

Style over substance

It's an age old tale. Someone comes up with a past-future collide idea and think's it'd make a great game. Which it can. Fallout 3's 50's America stylings mixed with post-nuclear future robots is brilliant, and lends the game a unique look. If Fallout is the best example, then Turning Point: Fall of Liberty is by far the worst.

The story deals with the Nazis beating us Brits and making it all the way to NYC during WW2. The game opens in a reasonably impressive fashion; futurish Nazi airships and storm troopers crashing into the city, with your construction worker protagonist trying to survive. But then you actually begin to play it. The controls are functional at best, sometimes affording you a fait hit, most of the time cursing you with the accuracy of a blind dolphin. THe aim is jerky and sloppy to use, and the trigger control feels squishy. That satisfying feeling when you hear the thud of bullet-in-enemy? Absent here. The graphics are watchable, but since when has that been acceptable? The voice acting and general narrative production is laghable; I've seen better on Sims-created machinima made by a few 14 year old Texan kids. The zippelins are cool, blah blah blah. I could go on all day about how the game is ok but not great, but in the end it all compounds and confounds in equal measures. You quickly get the feeling Turning Point was rushed, but for what reason is a mystery.

Which all begs the question. The golden question. Why play this when there are better games? Some of the time, awful games have a few character perks or quirky inclusions that make them worthwhile. But Turning Point has no such joys, instead opting for a poorly made shooter which would've looked passable on the PS2, but on 360 is just dire.

Call of Duty or even Medal of Honour do the Nazi killing better, and most other things too. If your desperate to kill robo-Nazi-zombies-with-airships-and-cool-guns, then wait a while and buy the new Wolfenstein game. However much they may mess that up, it's bound to be better than this taudry peice of crap.

When this was released this would of been a great game. Shame i played it in 2009 when there are so many better games out there. The great story held it together though so props for that.

With many of the great titles coming out on the Xbox today it is hard to believe that this actually got released. When I first saw some images for this I found the idea interesting and I do like WWII shooters and this is along the same sort of lines. Beginning with the graphics they are pretty poor, It just looks like a slightly better PS2 game, and doesn't really look a great deal like the images released.

Gameplay wise this is where the game fallls the most, you actually realise how good games like Call of Duty are when you play this. The most annoying thing is that the enemies take a ton of shooting to actually kill them. Most of the missions feel repetitive and it gets old fast, offering nothing more than the other WWII games.

Overall, avoid this game, there is much better out there and I honestly think that this is one of the worst games for the Xbox, and even more annoying is that I got 50 gamerpoints from it and now I can't erase it from my games list so everyone knows I've played it.

ALSO id have to point out that the story is so ignorantly false. If winston churchil ( great character that he was ) had died, the war would not of run its course any different. America and britain did not defeat nazi germany, were merely prevented russia from taking more of western europe. America/britain and the commonwealth only ever fought less than 30% of germany's armed froces, the rest were fighting russia. ( which was pushing germany back into its homeland by the time we arrived in france )

true the gameplay was very much PS2, but who didnt love the ps2????

it remind me of the good old days when medal of honor was first out and call of duty didnt exist!!! decent storyline, worth a rent.

This game sounded good from looking at it but when gameplay came in it was dissapointing. Too many glitches in the game also the enemy take to long to die.

I finished the game in a day so not very long either, the ending is nothing good to go by. Just dont bother with this game

This game is the worst FPS shooting game i have played in a looooong time, even worse than Hour of Victory! The graphics are terrible with so many glitches and the animation is pathetic. The gameplay is even worse than the graphics so i dont think i need to explain how bad it is. Online for this game is dead so i cant think of a single reason to even consider playing this game. STAY AWAY!

i was looking forward to this title for months so when i heard and read all the reviews i had to rent it to see if it really was that bad.and yes it is that bad,in fact this game is broken poor graphics,poor charactors,poor story telling.the game plot showed great promise to but they ruined it.i'm not going to go into all the faults because there is just to many of them.the gameplay is terrible to,a lot of games now are getting more realistic especially the fact that bullets do go through doors,fences etc.in one instance in this game i shot at someone standing behind a ladder and the bullets would'nt go through the rungs ,bullet proof ladder now thats pure lazy on the part of the designers,developers.i rented this game, it arrived yesterday morning and i sent it back yesterday afternoon after 4 hours play i really could'nt stand it any longer.please do not rent this game you will be left suicidle...
