sarah williams-Hadley from Telford , 11/12/2007
This game has finally came on to the 360 platform the original version on ps2 was great strongly recomended as it is a lot of fun so this game should be amazing in HD on 360.
ash6009 from Holmfirth [Highly rated reviewer] , 16/03/2008
this game i quite good, but it is too eay i completed it in 3 days, i advice to rent it but don't buy it. Also it lags and freezes very badly.
A customer from Cambs , 11/04/2008
I never played Bully on the ps2, so I was looking forward to the 'Scholarship Edition' of Bully. I heard there was some frame rate problems and other bugs so I rented it after the patch was released. Its still bug ridden, various bugs/glitches I encountered were Achievements not unlocking, the screen going black but you can still move but can't see what you are doing, lock ups. Nothing to do my xbox as go on various gaming sites and other gamers are having the same problems. It turns out Rockstar gave the porting duties to Mad Doc software (they made the terrible bug ridden, naff Star trek Legacy (which explains a lot) Disappointed that no attempt at using the power of the xbox 360. The textures are still low res, etc, there is new missions and content but nothing amazing. The game is very much a rental as you can complete the main missions in about 3 days.
A customer from Scotland , 28/03/2008
I bought this a couple of years ago for my PS2 and when I saw that it was released for the 360 'with enchanced graphic and new content' I had to have it. Unfortunetly I can see very little difference in the graphics from my PS2 version except that it looks a little more sharper. Whats worse is that there are a LOT of glitches on this version, despite the patches available from Xbox live, so expect lag and screen freezing. Also the new content is nothing more than a few minor things such as new classes that will get new a different outfit to wear. If you have bought this game on the PS2 or Xbox don't bother buying it or renting it since it adds little to the original. If you haven't played it before expect fun and accessible game with some tongue in cheek humour that will keep you entertained for a few days.
Diggy from Yeugaslavia , 07/06/2008
Allthough there is a few problems with it freezing this game is superb,Loved it
Ukstevens from London [Highly rated reviewer] , 25/04/2008
Well first of all i would just like to say that this game really got me hooked and i didnt want to put down the controller. You start off being made to go to lessons and are under curfew but when you get through a couple of missions you unlock other places to go and see and school becomes more of an asvoid if you wish and doesnt seem all that important but i kept going back as the mini games that take part as the lesson are really fun and addictive also there are mini games that you can play with a friend on two player local but no online gameplay. The game can last as long as you want really with plenty of features and missions to keep you going but you can put down the controller at any time if you can...
stephennotnicola from London , 18/04/2008
Regarding ash6009 review he ays that it can be completed in a few hours however this is not the case.To fully complete the game(get 1000GS,100% completion) you have to put in around 25-30 hours. The game is a highly enjoyable experience with lots of humour(a Rockstar trademark).IHowever it does lag and on ocassion the screen wil tear up but do not be put off by that.If you owned the original game (canis Canem Edit) you might not want to get this as its only got 8 new missions 4 new classes and enhanced graphics (actually the graphics look the same). On agamerscore perspective it is an easy but long 1000.I would say buy the game if going for 1000 but rent if you want to just do the story(as ash6009 stated) .
A customer from Aberdeen , 26/06/2008
It would have been passable if it wasn't for the poor load times, the fact it crashed 4 times on me, and the fact I got stuck in a ladder and had to quit the game....
A customer from London , 30/04/2009
Great fun game. Good graphics, a nice selection of mini games and lots to explore. It's pretty obvious that it is made by Rockstar, as it definitely has the feel of a GTA title, but think GTA without the guns (well, you have a pretty mean slingshot) and cars (except for skateboards, bikes and mopeds). The missions and lessons are good fun, and you can play the game at your own pace and explore the town, where there is a lot to do. The boarding school setting is fun to play with, and if the missions are a little easy at times, at least they keep coming!Overall, well worth a rent and you'll probably want to hang onto this game for a while.
HiddenHassasin from Birmingham , 17/04/2009
I rented this game after listening to my mate go on and on about it. To be honest he'll be getting a backhand for wasting 3 days of my life!! The game was full of glitches (I ended up getting stuck in santas grotto on one of the missions which was made worse because I hadn't saved the game for a while, so had to re-do about 10 odd missions!!It looks more PS2 than next gen which some people have already mentioned. Its fun at first but gets VERY repetitive and tedious after about 1 hours worth of gameplay. The only thing it has going for it are the extremely easy achievements. I managed to get all the achievements in 3 days (bar the 100% completetion because I couldn't be bothered) .To cut a long story short don't even think about buying this game. Rent it if you really want to see how bad it is because you most likely will be sending it back pretty soon.
matthills22 from Colchester , 22/02/2009
I rented this game because i wanted to a 1000g it, and i thought this game was great. Really good fun. It's made by the same people as GTA, so it is really similar. On a bad note though, Bully can be quite glitchy and freezes alot. I didn't some achievements untill i turned my xbox off and back on again.Easy achievements though, they are pretty straight forward. To 100% completion achievement is bit of a pig. Can be done with good guide. Or add me on xbox live i don't mind helping. Matthills22.One hint for you guys is when you do the halloween party mission, make sure you break all of the tomb stones, otherwise you can't 100% the game and you cannot go back to do it.
AlisterCat from Seaford [Highly rated reviewer] , 16/02/2009
Rockstar have made a very good name for themselves across the last generation, with many PS2 games that have been a very high standard and Bully seems to be a culmination of all of these experiences. The game's missions and open world come from GTA, the fighting and graffiti systems from The Warriors, stealth elements from Manhunt. They all come together to form a very interesting, unique and yet familiar experience. You assume the role of Jimmy Hopkins, a 15 year old boy who has had a troubled life. He has been in trouble, getting expelled from many schools and being taken car of by a mother who seems to find a new husband every year. The game starts off with you being put in to Bullworth Academy, and the game revolves around you making a new life for yourself. The storyline and characters are very good although follow Rockstar's typical storyline structure.I highly recommend this game. It might be essentially PS2, but there is nothing wrong with that. The Xbox360 version is superior, with more missions and some slightly touched up graphics. There are some glitches, but not too many that will ruin your experience. Just go for it.5/5Recommend if you like: GTA, The Warriors, Manhunt
RealToughCookie from Winsford [Highly rated reviewer] , 10/09/2008
Its just like the last gen version with a little bit nicer graphics, was fun for a while but slowly it became one of those games you never want to play again. :) Luckily i rented, so i would say its worth a rent at least.
A customer from Halifax , 21/08/2008
Well, no-one can deny this is a really fun game - possibly one of the most out there. What though is sickening to disgraceful, is that this is so obviously a tarted up PS2 port. Yes, the PS2 was ok in it's time - but times have moved on, and to anyone who owns an Xbox360, PS3 or even a Wii, the PS2 looks old, tired and vastly last-gen underpowered. The potential of this game is immense - the whole school thing, but this dogs dinner is sadly lacking.Yes, they've improved the graphics of the school campus area, but as soon as you step outside into the town - it's so PS2 low quality it's breathtaking. And the bugs....console owners demand better than this. Freezing, funky loading..this is something we expect to get off pc gaming, but NEVER a console.Shame on you!
A customer from Reading , 05/08/2008
this is a good game to play but dont buy just rent because it gets reppetetive after chapter 3
A customer from Hartlepool , 26/06/2008
Bully is a good all round game, think Gta and saints row without the guns, its a more light hearted affair that passes the time nicely when your not looking for something hardcore and serious to get stuck in to.
STUEYB from Newport [Highly rated reviewer] , 07/04/2008
Very good for the 1st 2 hours of play then i posted backMay purchase after 29.4.08 as GTA will be out then : )

SilentOblivion1 from Newton Aycliffe , 25/08/2009
was abit wary about this game at first and thought the achievements would be really easy so might not be worth it but it didnt disappoint, this game is one of the best ive played on 360and why do people say bully is good for boosting gamerscore. it took me 32 hours to get 1000/1000, not exactly easy. but its been worth it.its pretty much GTA in a school, and the setting makes it totally different to GTA and makes it more fun since the GTA series is boring now. there is so much to do, classes, pranks, errands for people, ride around on bikes, skateboards, play football, carnival games.if rockstar made a sequel id buy it on release day.i would recommend this to anyone as you wont regret it.
evilhomer from Braintree , 13/08/2009
its not great.....its aright for 10minslike a teenage gta but nothing like it if you no what i mean.....i wouldnt rent it or buyonly if you have to
Kronic232 from Birkenhead , 06/08/2009

JoeSav9 from Middlesbrough , 03/07/2009
really good game.. i enjoyed it.. i would really recommend it to anyone who is into sandbox style games like GTA and such.. i wud really consider buyin it.. :)
Squidgemonster from London , 30/06/2009
I remember being quite excited about the premise and gameplay advertised in 'Bully'...The harsh reality is that in a post GTA IV world, this game from the same team who bought us the GTA series, is looking a little old and awkward. The loading times are appalling, though improved considerably by installing to your xbox. The fact that you have to go through whole missions again, even if you fail at the last moment does nothing to entice you into the story of the game. I also felt the difficulty level was pitched quite high even from the get-go, which is always a bad way to kick-off a gamers experience.Disappointed but glad I tried it.
A customer from Ely , 23/06/2009
DOnt waste you time absouloute RUBISH
MoaningHunter from Sutton , 15/06/2009
i've only said what i said in the title cause it took me so long to complete the last bit of the game. just make sure you have everything you need (aka strategy guide) before you play this or you'll be annoyed as i was by the time you are finished.
Domo87 from Birmingham , 09/06/2009
started off very well. it felt like playing the old GTA's.... fun! but then got very boring, very fast. i was glad i rented it, so that i could return it :) missions get very repetitive, not enough locations, and the locations they have are very simple and small. i wouldnt play this game if u are just going for achievements either, as it takes a very long time to finish!
Chickenman07 from Manchester , 16/05/2009
i rented this just as one for the 1000 gamerscore, but as i played it more and more i really got into it and the story. Its a really good laugh and picking fights with various kids never gets old and the missions keep getting better, each one more interesting than the last. Finally the thousand arent that easy to get and if you do get them you'll be talking more about the game than the fact you just got 1000 gamerscore.
A customer from Cleethorpes , 26/04/2009
But not the best i didn't really get into it that much but is pretty fun for a quick 20 minutes .
A customer from Nairn, Scotland , 17/04/2009
Please don't waste your time with this game! The graphics are average, the gameplay is OK, I suppose. But in the little amount of time I played it (I only kept it a day before sending it back) I spent most of it lookig at endless loading screens. Seriously!!It is a great idea for the game I can't fault that. It brought out the kid in me, the one that wants to throw stink bombs at people I don't like and walk around lik Bart Simpson with the catapault in my back pocket. But everything else is just awful! I would have been raging if I had forked out the RRP for this game.
hel898 from Alexandria , 14/04/2009
After playing bully i found the overall experiance satisfiying, albeit the plot was a wee bit far fetched and the use of some weapons would result in more gruesome effects. As for the way of glitches/bugs there are some after the patch but i only encountered two that required me to reload from a save. The screen going black but still being able to move Jimmy and The NPCs getting into fights when i was trying to finish a mission. There are some minor ones like NPCs getting stuck behind items when you are trying to do a mission/errand, and if jimmy goes goofy on the skateboard his model may flick back and forth in direction. These glitches actually added some hilarity to the gameplay, to be honest!
CamButch from Windsor [Highly rated reviewer] , 14/04/2009
This is a good game but rent first
bigbobbybrown from Gainsborough , 23/03/2009

HARTY316 from Stockton-on-Tees , 11/03/2009
this game is a must for all gamers young or old it is one of the biggest games i have played in a long time, plenty of mini games and fighting involved as well as a story line to keep you hooked and wanting more excellent game
A customer from Brierley Hill , 08/03/2009
very good and incredibly fun gamealso to th bloke who asked how can you review it before its out it came out on ps2 bout 2005ish so they can assume this is basicly the same (which it is) DOI
A customer from Lichfield , 07/03/2009
Here's a controversial comment, this game is better and much more fun to play than GTA 4!
devp from Middlesbrough , 10/02/2009
A good game with witty humour. Fun missions and the achievements are enjoyable to complete. However it is let down by freezing issues and minor glitches. A little bit too easy to complete, but it is fun while it lasts.
A customer from Northwich , 21/01/2009
I don't like this game at all. It was fun if you like GTA of course by the same creators isn't it? But besides that, i got bored so fast i couldn't ever play it anymore. Like the first day you get quite into it, you like fighting the bullies, being a bully, kissing girls. But then is old news, to buggy, glitched achievements. To me rent if you only like games like GTA and you have patient enough to play games like this. But other wise don't bother.
A customer from Stockport , 07/01/2009
Really enjoyed the game. Lots to do and it lasted quite long. It's not the easiest 1000/1000 if you're looking for gamerscore as it does take a while to do some of the achievements and some are quite tedious. The 100% completion achievement is very time consuming and quite tricky to get as there is just so much to do and it's dependant on things such as if you can find all of the errands (You'll understand what these are when you play the game). It's definately do-able if you're willing to put the time in. I got the 1000 on it but the 100% completion took me about 10 hours of playing after I'd finished the game itself. I suppose you could cheat and use a guide to get there a bit quicker but that takes away the fun of actually doing it! I would say it's well worth playing whether you go for gamerscore or just play for the enjoyment of playing it!
A customer from Grantham , 05/01/2009
not a bad game, probably worth a rent but definately wouldnt buy. Graphics aren't great but the game is quite fun and if you are a fan of achievements then this game is a good source of gamerscore.
lee from blackburn , 22/12/2008
this game is good at the start but afte a while you get bored from doing the same thing over and over again
A customer from Hereford , 11/12/2008
The title says it all really you run, ride or skateboard around from one task to the next, you can go out after curfew, but dont get caught. I dont know i guess i was just hoping for more the this game.
A customer from Portsmouth , 09/12/2008
This is a really funny game, but the only thing that let it down was that it kept freezing. This is the game not the xbox! Great storyline, achivements are easy to get but very time consuming. Lessons are pretty hard.
A customer from London , 08/12/2008
Very boring. After a few hours of playing the game is the same and the same. The story is crap to be honest and the missions are easy. The graphics suck as well.
A customer from Deeside , 07/12/2008
Bully is worth a rent for a few days of mindless fun. It's not the most difficult of games, but the different challenges make it good for filling some time. If you a good lad or lass at school then this gives you the opportunity to shake things up a little and do the things you would have liked to if there were no consequences! The classroom sessions are decent enough for the reward side of things, and the dialogue is actually quite good, in a similar vein to GTA. There are heaps of achievements to grab, so get this game if you wish to boost your gamer score. On the negative side...Rockstar - you have to sort those loading times out, it's beyond a joke having to wait for the game to load every time you step through a door! That aside, well worth a casual play!
A customer from Llandudno , 27/11/2008
I found this game fun, you can still do all the same things as the original xbox e.g throwings marbles so people trip over, getting to wedgy any way don't wan't to bore you with what it can do if like the look of it utube it is the best way to find out.
Butley from Chard , 18/10/2008
From the very start of the game you can feel the very Rockstar like essence about it. However the serious factor of the GTA's has been thrown out the window along with guns and death only to be replaced with brilliant humour and comical weapons.Overall this is a very sound game and doesn't feel repetitive at all. 25 hours to 100% so length isn't brilliant but still worth a look
danno1no1 from UK , 30/09/2008
Great game, better than expected! I found there was lots to keep you entertained, a few minor flaws with regards to glitches but i wasn't too phased and if your a fan of rockstar or games of that nature then this is a rental you must own. 7/10
Pete14 [Highly rated reviewer] , 21/09/2008
Finally got to play this. Was a bit easy, but highly enjoyable.Recommended to rent. You'll finish the main story line within about 5 hours
A customer from Hull , 15/09/2008
Welcome to the 1990's. Poor graphics which even a Harry Potter game surpasses and ridiculous loading breaks every time you enter a new room means this is very frustrating.
curt1s from Hertford , 29/08/2008
this game is the nuts.... come on what more can be said..... if u ever wanted to go back to school and kick ass then this is the game... come on u all want to do that.. u have to give this at least a try.. remember it a rental.. so come on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Matt from Rugeley , 11/08/2008
This game is not too bad, but could have (and should have) been a lot better.Basically following the GTA formula in a different setting, it has enough main missions and side quests to keep you entertained. However, the shocking observation on this is the lack of effort they have put in. SHAME ON YOU ROCKSTAR. Taking a game from the old PS2 they have done little to improve the graphics. Even the HD sheen cannot detract your attention that this is last generation. The textures, facemapping, animation - they all stink of old technology. With the power of the 360 they could have made it look superb, improve the frame rate, and the textures, and removed the loading times. It just reeks of a lazy developer chucking out a lazy port to get some quick cash. It's a disgrace. It ruins the game experience and you'll find yourself getting annoyed at things like poor collision detection, abysmal AI, and at one point clipping (something I haven't seen for ages). I was one the first floor of a building and when I moved the camera the floor disappeared and I could see what was happening on the floor below - terrible. So, if you have no standards of what a next generation title should be like, rent this.It is essentially a decent game. It's just a shame that the developers ruined it with their inherent laziness.
ukd from Newport , 15/07/2008
In all respects this game is average:The graphics have recieved a slight upgrade from it's PS2 counterpart, although textures still look fairly bland and old when compared to current-generation graphics. The gameplay is fun, but does not reach its potential. The variety in weaponary is somewhat extensive but more often than not the same gameplay style will be used throughout the game when fighting. Similarly, fist-fighting is more of a spam the buttons affair than anything tactical.Where this game does shine through, because of Rockstar's creative nature, is in the story and the world. The story features well-rounded characters, though no where near as characterised as those seen in GTA. Similarly, though the world is fairly big, it still feels redundant when compared to GTA. Inevitably the scenarios of the games vary but regardless this difference makes the game feel much more limited. The timing section of the game, where-by lessons are at strict times and you must return to dorm (or pass out) by 1am work well in theory but become tiresome over time. The lessons are simple minigames, also possible to be played in a multiplayer mode.Overall this game can become lackluster if you go through the daily motions of school life completing missions at the end of the day. Where it shines, as in any Rockstar game, is in the extra, side-sections of the game; collecting cards/bands, errands, completing jobs, boxing, and arcade games.Altogether this is a comprehensive game featuring gameplay on a variety of levels. However it feels aged in comparison to other modern games. This would be a 4 star if reviewed several years ago on PS2. It's definately worth a try but don't expect anything at the level of GTA4/Saint's Row.
diggles from Hull , 24/06/2008
very good fun to play on this was like gta but on more of a basic level. but from kissing the girls to stuffing people in lockers it is a good game and a good laugh.
diggsy from Rochdale , 13/06/2008
my kids loved it, including my 19 yr old daughter who is very hard 2 please. definalty a good purchase.
A customer from redcar,england , 26/04/2008
bully: scholarship is almost just the same as the first one but with more levels and classes so if you had the first bully i say do not but this one but if you have never played any of the bully games then i suggest you buy this one.
jawapower from Ruislip , 11/04/2008
A game that is spoilt by the sheer number of loading screens, as it ruins the flow of the game and is inexcusable with the 360 hard drive. Good, but not great.
Mark M from Bonnybridge, UFO Land , 11/12/2008
Firstly, this game is not true to life! This guy is not exactly hard, he has ginger hair for a start, so he would get done in at my skool!Apart from that, I completed this game in 18 minutes. A game for soft people who like to kid on to be hard in the comfort of their own couches when no-one is looking!
