Rated - 3 starsLost : Stay Lost

A customer from London , 20/07/2008

Presentation 7 (does capture the essence of the tv show)

Gameplay 3 (very linear game...not much else to do)

Sound 5 (voice acting 1...music and effects 9)

Graphics 9 (island is beautiful and the characters are well rendered)

Lastability 2 (play it in 4-5 hours...get 1000 gamerpoints...finished...!!)

Overall a good game done badly...playing it on XBOX 360 and actually achieving ALL 1000 gamerpoints for 5 hours game play is not a bad rent...plus its enjoyable.

as a huge lost 'fanboy' i was excited for this game but no matter how much i loved lost i could never love this game. its TERRIBLE! i bought it the day it came out and i sold it 2 days later as id already completed it. it takes roughly 4 hours if not less to complete and the majority of that is spent watching awful, unskippable cutscenes. graphically it isnt too shabby as the jungle looks nice and realistic. the cut scenes however are dreadful. voice acting is wooden and laughable at times. the cut scenes have awful graphics with tons of clipping and they have a terrible script to boot. gameplay - there's none! most of the game is spent watching cutscenes or walking along the beach or round the jungle. there are a few 'puzzles' involving fuse boxes which form the bulk of the gameplay but in any other game they would be mini games that take no more than a matter of minutes. other than that there are i.q questions and 2 chase sequenes, one with the black smoke. this 'game' has no substance and barely skims over the storyline of 3 seasons of lost. This is the biggest letdown ever and if i knew there address i would send hatemail to the makers of this game because i feel utterly cheated by them. This isnt even worth a rental unless you care about achievement points as they are very easy to get. UTTER GARBAGE!

Rated - 5 stars5 stars because of how surprised I was

Zabadack from London [Highly rated reviewer] , 09/04/2008

the Lost game, I was pleasantly surprised, I get to play a lot of games and I figure since i'm going in to a games design degree I shouldn't just rent the games that get great reviews but I should play the ones everybody thinks will suck.

Trust me Lost is not a game I would ever consider buying, but rent for the sake of research? might as well. The game actually plays really well. If you're a fan of the series (i'm not but i've had to watch it with my girlfriend so I get all the references) it would actually be awesome, there are a few points throughout the game where it comes up with the LOST logo and goes 'previously on lost' and shows a montage of cutscenes from the section you've just played through, this really helps to keep the atmosphere of the show and I was very impressed how much it seemed like you were part of the lost series throughout the game. The characters were written to have the same personality and suspicions they would on the show and it's all very neatly tied in with the plot.

John locke still seems his hardman hippy self, Jack and Sayid have a habit of overeacting, Kate always giving people the benefit of the doubt and Hurley even cracks a joke or two, the story (if you consider it's trying to be like the show) is very well done and I'm ashamed to say I was actually enjoying myself by the end of it, just like all the reviews said it's a very short game and really did last 6 hours... almost bang on to the minute, but then if you consider that each 'episode' within the game takes about 1 hour to complete... that's pretty much half a season of lost right there.

The graphics are beautiful, I never really got what the reviewers were saying about how pretty it looked because the vids I saw never did it justice, if you get to see the game running you'll understand what I mean.

it's more of an interactive story than a game though, but lets face it there's not much actual action in the series is there? it's all just wandering through the jungle going 'i think we're being watched' in hushed voices while trying to decide whether or not to enter those numbers. so the game has very little in the way of gun fights or any kind of fights for that matter, it's probably a good thing though. running around duel wielding machine guns and bitch slapping that smoke monster would probably take away from the lost atmosphere.

Way too short to deserve the price tag however so it's a rental only, oh and if you're obsessed with that meaningless gamerscore it's easy to rack up the points.

(review ripped from my gametrailers blog where i'm documenting my gaming experiences and review style changes over the next 3 years as part of my games design course)

Im a huge fan of the show, by that i mean i listen to the podcast and just anything to do with the show, so when i heard the game was coming out i was really looking forward to it and more than read to pay the money for the games. On the day of the release I was busy so couldnt get the game. On the night i read the reviews on the game from ign and i decided just to rent. It was a good job i did!

This is a great game, dont get me wrong, but i started it at 11.30 and was finished by 4.

Even with the shortness of the game, if you are a fan of the show rent this NOT buy! It has been made so that people who arnt fans of the show will be able to play but I dont think they will enjoy the experince as much.

The game doesnt give away any major new things on the show but there is some things that the fans will apprectiate. Plus the ending is very interessting to say the least.

Rated - 1 starA terrible terrible game! seriously bad

BigShakey35 BigShakey35 from Glasgow [Highly rated reviewer] , 03/09/2008

This is the type of game if you didnt get gamerpoints for it wouldnt have been in my xbox for more than 5 mins, its seriously bad!

Here is why, the controls are slow and stupid. The gameplay is the worst iv possibly ever played. I get it the game is called lost but does that really mean i need to walk around a cave without a clue where im going and falling in pits and running out of light. Its just not fun, you will swaer alot, nuns playing this game would swear alot. Sounds pathetic i know but you actually get tossed in a cave and it sucks, then ytou have a trip through the woods and get killed by black smoke unless you hid in trees. Dull, pathetic and the worst of it every time you need to jump in trees you have like a 7 second video you cant skip, the whole game is filled with videos you cant skip! seriously after polaying for 15 mins your then hit with a video recapping what you have done. This game last about 5 hours and its 5 hours too long. The controls are frsutarting, your objective arent that clear, the story is all over the place and you to be honest you dont care about the story after 15 mins.

Serously why should you rent this? well the graphics arent that bad, decent actually and its is fairly easy to collect the full 1000gp if you can handle the frustration of playing a really realy terrible game. If your a gamerscore addict take it for the 1000 if your not into achievement give this game a serious miss.

It had the potential to be a strong adventure gamer like the broken sword series but instead its some good awful game you watch more than play and get angry when you constantly die in stupid a$$ ways

I saw lots of reviews saying how bad this game was.... i thought i would give it a try... im actually surprised at how good i thought the game was :)

fair enough the actors in the game arent the best and also the game is very linear and only really has 1 set route, but when playing through the game i felt very very empathetical almost to the point that i wished i was actually there!!. Fair enough its not the best but look beyond what other people have said and im sure you can actually see what a decent title this game is

stu jones from sheffield england , 27/07/2008

You could probably finish this game in about 8 hours but i reckon some of you will finish it in about 5 which as far as games go is pretty poor. There just wasn't anough action in this game for my liking, you just basically stumbled around looking for clues to move onto each scene. The good part is that it did give you a few extra snippets of the lost story so chappeau for that. Overrall though id say rent this but dont buy it, and if your a fan you may like it.

Rated - 1 starDon't get your hopes up!

A customer from Swindon , 18/07/2008

Where should I start? Lost Via Domus is the easiest game I have ever played. There are no real challenges at all, and this poor element of it's gameplay isn't helped by the repetitive fuse box puzzles and pointless (and simple) IQ tests. If I'm honest I was glad to see these puzzles for they signified a break from the endless cut scenes and dialogue which do not do the series justice. The story line for the new protagonist wasn't bad; several shocks and twist to the background of the character where indeed quite interesting, but writers of the game have skipped through the events of the Lost's three seasons in a just 7 short, and disappointing, episodes, leaving massive gaps in time with little explanation. Matters are made worse with the utterly laughable conclusion to events in the final episode of the game. I won't spoil it for anyone considering to give this game a go, but just don't get your hopes up for an incredible ending that any Lost fan could be proud of.

Gamer points fans will be pleased - an easy 1000 points in roughly 6 hours - or I've been told useing a walkthrough guide can get you through it in 4 hours, but be prepared to sit through 2/3s of that time watching cutscenes.

1 star gameplay

1 star story

2 star graphics

Overall a disappointing 1 star, for a game I thought would do better.

The only thing that kept me playing was my love of LOST and reading that the ending revealed secrets. Well the ending was rubbish!

The game is very repetitive and incredibly easy. Most sections just involve running and jumping. The puzzles are a letdown too.

Finished it in 5 hours. So glad i didn't buy this.

And it's a crime not to have the real actors voices. The bit were Charlie 'sings' is painful.

Rated - 3 starsLost the will to live!

A customer from Aberdeen, Scotland , 09/03/2008

I am a huge fan of the TV series Lost and so I was really looking forward to this game.

In the game you assume the identity of Elliot, a photographer who has amnesia.

You crash land on the Lost island and quickly start meeting the characters of the tv show.

I was dissapointed that you only really have minimal interaction with the characters and that some of the voices are a little too exagerated. The gameplay is fun enough, however the iq tests and fuse boxes do get a little tedious.

The graphics are amazing and the island looks beautiful as do the characters, the music is similar to lost but not identical.

One cool thing is the episode recaps at the start of a new episode which include the famous..... 'Previously on LOST...' (the game is divided up into episodes)

I was expecting there to be more free roam capabilities but the game is actually very linear, even to the point where locations are removed from your options even though you have travelled to them from that location before.

Worth playing but in my opinion not worth purchasing

flamingmonkey from London , 20/03/2009

With games out now where landscape can be as big as you imagine i had big hopes for this as i expected to be lost on a giant island with nothing but a bottle of water and a few crazy stranded survivors for company. Unfortunately i hoped for too much, with tiny bits of the lost story included with the game you carry out on you own seperate story which just happens to be on the same island!, The graphics were okay with some scenic scenes but to tell you the truth you don't see as much as you would hope. To be fair the story did make you seem like you were just watching a tv episode with a couple of mini games to fill in for adverts. With the size of area to eplore being the same as an old xbox title i feel they could of done alot better with certain games out there as an example. On the plus side if you are a gamer out there who just wants to improve their gamer score this title is perfect for you. With a play time of about 2 hours and 4 hours for cut scenes i managed to complete the game going through as quickly as i could and totalling a gamer score of 915 which is my highest to date. If you are a fan of lost you may want to rent it due to references to the popular tv series or just to improve your gamer score. otherwise i would look to oher titles with the same challenges just on a grander scale.

Not a great game and that i'm afraid is the best compliment I can give to it!!!

Appears to be just a shameful cash in on the TV program, people who bought this on release day must have felt short changed.

It could have been so much more but fails at every turn, run there pick up a coconut, run there pick up a mango, aaaaghhh!!!

MissSunshine MissSunshine from Neath , 22/09/2008

Let me first start by saying how awesome the graphics and effects are in this game, the visuals blew me away!

The game itself is just a let down; it is very linear with the game guiding your every move. When search for an item you need all you have to do is look around and something will flash, not very difficult at all. I found it overall too easy and short; it was completed within four hours.

In short, if you’re a lost fan you will enjoy the visuals and basic story, other than that I would suggest avoiding this one.

Rated - 3 starslost my will to live......

Chris Hoskins from Devon, England [Highly rated reviewer] , 09/09/2008

I've been a pretty big fan of show right from the begging and this game was just a totally unnecessary attempt to make more cash from the franchise, you can't really even call this a game, for one thing you can easily complete it in one sitting and also all you do is mainly walk/run from one part of the jungle to another speaking to the poorly voiced poorly animated cast of the show and then walk/run to where they tell you to go and then you either have to do some annoying fuse related puzzle or pick something up to take back to one of the characters, apart from that you have to run away from the black smoke twice and you can pointlessly trade items with certain people to get guns (which you only get to fire about 3 shots from in the whole game) or torches or what ever....Oh, yeh i almost forgot about the totally crappy flash back sequences where you have to take a photo at a certain time in a constantly repeating scenario. The graphics are outstanding but thats as good as it gets, it's probably the easiest game ever to get game score on so i guess that's a reason to rent it but apart from that there's no other appeal to it. It isn't an awful game but it just feel like a chore to play and there's no real purpose to it.

Rated - 3 starsFor Lost fans only...

A customer from Coventry , 17/08/2008

I have watched Lost from the very beginning and have always been a big fan of the series but was a bit wary of how good a game of the series could really be. This is due to the fact that the series is based around one big mystery and reveals something stranger every week.

Luckily they decided to base the game around a character that was made up for the game with a story that was created by the original writers, so far so good. To begin with the game starts of well, the graphics are decent and the characters are recreated in great detail from the series. Scenes and objects can be recognised and its a treat for fans of the show to explore, such as the beach, jungle and the hatch.

Apart from this though it can go downhill a little, to begin with is the voice acting. Some have the original actors although Locke and Sayid sound the worst and to be honest its pretty funny! When you also speak to the characters littered around the game you get the same repeating rubbish each time even that is boring to listen to.

The gameplay however is a big let down, the environment itself is covered in invisible walls so your limited to certain areas, you can't just go and explore as you wish. Which is a shame for those of us that wanted to explore the island. The missions themselves though are the weakest part, they usually consist of mini games although taking pictures of certain items is the main objective.

Overall I wouldn't recommend this for those who are not fans of Lost, there is nothing new for them to try and will probably become bored. For those that love Lost though this offers nothing unique from other games although it gives a good enough expericence to explore the settings from the show and have fun spotting things from the show.

Rated - 3 starsLost Via Achievements

GearsOfAids from Camborne , 04/07/2008

Ive personally never watched Lost so I cant tell you if the game is good in relation to the tv show, if it follows the story line etc!

However if your looking for a easy 1000 achievement points then look no further, the whole 1000g can be done within about 5 hours. I would maybe suggest to look on www.xbox360achievements.org if you get stuck in any parts because finding a couple of the items, and the last fuse puzzle could prove to be a bit tricky!

This game isnt a bad play, I can think of plenty worse to play for achievements such as xmen, fantastic four etc. Unlike those this game will not make you want to chuck your 360 out of the window.

However if your looking for a all round decent game and not the acievements, then this isnt it there are plenty of better big name titles out there, Gears Of War, Call Of Duty 4, Bioshock etc etc.

All in all I would say a fair 3 stars!

Rated - 2 starsDisappointing - Could have been so much more.

Saterik from Berkhamsted , 20/04/2008

I'm a big fan of Lost and have to agree that this game is a real let down.

The bulk of the game consists of doing the following:

- Collecting items to trade with other survivors. However, the only item you really need is torches to see in the caves. You can buy guns and ammo, but I only killed two enemies in the entire game!

- Solving fuse puzzles, which are the same each time and are really tiresome.

- Talking to the other characters (who mostly aren't voiced by the real cast). This is also a real chore as it involves choosing a question and then receiving a one sentence boring answer... your own character barely even speaks!

The graphics do look good, but there are some problems with them, most noticeably tearing when moving, and on the last level there were even some bright green and pink artifacts showing up. The sound is excellent, as its clearly ported from the show. The game itself is over in a few hours and really just feels like it could have been so much more. It would be a real waste to buy this game, rent it for a day.

TudorVII TudorVII from Farnborough [Highly rated reviewer] , 10/04/2008

I've never watched Lost, but was told the game was quite good and wouldn't need to watch it to get the back story. How right that last part was, The whole time I was playing the game, I felt utterly cheated, this is not a game, this is a mistake. It's hard to see the point in this game, maybe just to make fans of the show feel interactive with it, but I'm going to say it's mainly for the achievements. A lot of them are JUST taking photographs, which is as interactive as the game gets. You're given the choice of multiple questions to ask other characters, but only 1 out of the maybe 10 will yield anything to your progress. Couple that with the fact that you run slower than Frank on DeadRising while avoiding a black cloud and 'Others' and you'll see that this game is only for the fans and achievement lovers.

Also, I have no comments on the show and want to make that clear before I get abuse. I've never seen it, but judging by it's fanbase and success so far, it must be pretty good.

But as for the game, definately a rental at best.

Labinopper from Poole [Highly rated reviewer] , 13/03/2008

I must say, this is totally worth a rent if your a Lost fan, however it is slightly disappointing, Graphics are great, gameplay is.. good enough, however it is all endless running and figuring things out, I found myself constantly wondering when the game would start properly to be honest, however its worth a rent, i notice other people have said it takes approximately 6 hours to complete, i would have to agree with their timescales. Also another thing which i myself wasn't too fond of, is that it very loosely follows the storylines of Lost, i mean, i was expecting to be Jack or Kate, maybe Sawyer or Locke, but instead your this unknown person with no memory of who he is, and you do nothing that is in the storylines, towards the end it is almost completely out of place with the TV show. But still, worth a rent, worth completing, afterwhich its something never to be touched again.

Andy.

Being a huge Lost fanboy, I have to admit i had been looking forward to this game since it's announcement and have been duefully pleased. With some nice graphics and some beautiful scenery the stage was set for a brilliant game. However excessive cut scenes and some distinctions from the show (like barely anyone on the beach when the plane crashes) lets down the premise of the game somewhat. Despite this ubisoft combine with the Lost creators to create a vivid and jaw dropping video game which will leave fans reeling for more with an ending that truely blows everything away. Overall an incredibly fun, intense game, and a must for all LOST fans out there.

If you're looking to boost your gamerscore, then this is a good choice. I completed the game with 1000g in about 6 hours.

It also might be worth giving it a look if you're a big fan of the series, although I don't believe the cast of LOST did the voice overs. The graphics are ok, and comparing it to most tv/film related games, it's certainly one of the better ones. However, there is a reason this game's between £5 and £7 to buy in the shops.

All in all, I'd give it a 3 out of 10.

If you're looking for acheivements for you Xbox, this is a must have. An easy game with an easy to follow storyline. Like myself, if you've never watched Lost, you will still be able to play this game. Graphics wise, the game is good, gameplay wise, I liked it. It kept me entertained from start to finish. Like TMNT, the game allows you to play again but I wouldn't as it would be a bit boring to play the same story twice without any difference. Overall, if you're looking for a game to boost your gamerscore, this is it but I wouldn't play it over and over again. A title to rent and not to buy.

If you need a gamerscore boost then this is a good game for that, bear in mind that you probably will need a guide though as there's alot of easily missable achievements, and some of the in-game puzzles are just downright obscure.

Ok, so I rented this game to get the 1000 easy achievements, it took rather longer than I thought it would and there are some annoying parts to this game that could make you curse. But the characters are done pretty well, graphics too and the environment is pretty stunning.

But this game will suit either a Gamerscore Freak, a Casual Gamer or a fan of lost. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone else unless you are extremely bored and don't mind annoying games.

But overall ok!

Rated - 2 starsNot a good game

V12Kev from Liverpool , 11/04/2009

This game isn't good, to be blunt. The storyline is fixed and there is hardly any areas which you can roam and have fun in (your only goal is the storyline). Graphics are quite smooth and enoyable untill you see any characters facial expressions, which are limited to about 2 (happy and sad).

I'd say this game was a cash cow to try and get into the lost fans pocket because it was hardly created for enjoyment. Please do not rent this game unless you are looking for gamerscore for xbox360, you would enjoy every other game more than this.

However, if you are looking for gamerscore then this is your game. I managed to get 1000/1000GS within 5 hours with the use of guides. The game takes no skill and just abit of patience finding items to use/trade.

Kaylon from London , 16/03/2009

This was the first game I played on my XBox with HDTV, the graphics absolutely stunned me.

It is a shame the game was highly linear with little input from the gameplayer in terms of affecting the outcome of the story or gameplay. The puzzles were entertaining but a little repetitive, and the game was VERY short.

Anyone other then a die-hard fan would probably find this a waste of time. I enjoyed the graphics and some of the puzzles. I also like the little links with the main story, however I was disapointed by the lack of breadth and playability.

The game is ok, little jumpy at times and it would be good if it run smooth,no waiting for it to load whilst you transfer areas.

Apart from this the graphics are good and the game isn't hard, can get alot f points if you read the guides online but i couldn't be bothered going back and taking photo's

Worth a go.

really easy 1000 gamerpoints if you use a guide from the internet. Not really a good game otherwise. Voice acting is poor and some are not even voiced by the actors form the show - check out that dodgy Lock impression - and the graphics are well below par for the xbox. if you try playing it for anything other than gamerpoints you will be extremly bored and dissapointed, even if your a die hard Lost fan. But 1000 gamerpoints for a Sunday afternoons work earns it an extra star.

Perticularly easy achievements which is good if your looking for a gamer score boost, however i did find the game perticularly frustrating all the way through especially the character actions and movements, they seemed to show the same emotions over and over again to all your questions, the classic talk and bob your head up and down whilst moving arms about wildly. Its not a bad game, but its over so quickly. Every chapter you complete is like an episode, so at the start of the next you get the recap of what happened last time on Lost.

With me being a die-hard fan of the TV series, I thought it was only right for me to give this game a try and I'm glad I did. Although it doesn't follow the story of the TV series, it still managed to pull off the whole LOST atmosphere of anxiety, mystery and tension. The game is a bit short and therefore collecting the 1000 Gamerscore is pretty straightforward, however I'd rather have a game that's of good quality but short than a game that doesn't know when to quit and lacks quality. For those people that haven't really got into the TV series then you may still find this game enjoyable but you may be left thinking - 'what was all that about?' at the end.

With Series 5 about to start up, I thougt I would get myself back in the mood for some Lost by having a run through of this game.

I knew it was not exactly a AAA rated game, but thought that might have been just Lost haters, but know it really isnt a good 'Game' never mind being a good reflection on Lost.

The game takes me back to days of old adventure games. with general walking about, following the fairly obvious clues, and following all the talking paths in conversations with everyone you meet.

I am not a hardcore gamer, but even I managed to finish this in 3 short nights of playing!

Rent it for the achievements, not for the story.

Lazy, last generation graphics, sluggish controls, crap unofficial voiceovers, abysmal puzzles... I could go on but I'd be here all day.

It may well reveal it's own plot twists away from the TV series, but I just could not be bothered to sit through this dross. It just wasn't worth it.

Gameplay,:half reminiscent characters stand at various waypoints and you have to interact and tick the right boxes just to get past them..Wandering around a beach and a half buried suitcase stops you in your tracks untill you walk around its hidden forcefield, I wont waste any more words...

For adventure get Oblivion or Fallout 3...

Oh what a disapointment much like series 3 of lost. I was really looking forward to this being a fan of the TV series and I really tried to enjoy the game but all the faults and problems with the game just hampered the whole experience for me. Die hard Lost fans may enjoy the expanded storyline but for me it just was not good enough. Perhaps a open sandbox game would have been better like GTA? Now that probably would have been good.

Rated - 1 starPoor level layout.

Quicksilver from Canvey Island , 09/09/2008

The layout of all the objects on the beach are terrible, you can't walk over objects that normally you could just step onto. The gameplay is a bit iffy because there is only 1 way through the game. The game should have the story line of the lost episodes but should allow the player to be able to freely adventure around the island at the players demise but of course with limitations.

Personally i do not recommend buying this game, but everyone has an opinion so of course do as you please.

OK let me start by saying I am not a Lost fan, in fact I've never even seen the show but hopefully the game is no indication of the quality of the show. I found this game a real chore, I didn't care about the characters or have any interest in the convoluted plot and don't even get me started on the technical quality of the game. On the plus side with the aid of a guide this game is over in under a day having given up all it's 1000 points.

Rated - 4 starsNot too bad!

JamieSlaughter from Whitstable , 23/07/2008

Really not as bad as everyone makes out, resonable story (although highly confusing ending which is not properly explained, although this is true to the tv show which very rarely make any sense). Good gameplay, the occasional glitch but other than that it is pretty solid. Graphics are great in places, average in others but on the whole, impressive for a tv show tie-in.

Some of the game mechanics and mini-games are intensly frustrating, but these are counter-acted by a brilliant 'running' mini-game which is tremendous fun and I wish they included it a few more times!

All in all, much better than you would expect and well worth a rental, but not a purchase due to its linear story and very limited replayability.

Give it a whirl!

Rated - 2 starsAwful.

A customer from Norfolk, England , 23/07/2008

While I'm a fan of Lost, the same can't be said of this game. For one, it lacks many of the voices that make Lost what it is. The game itself is long and boring, basically.

It is, however, easy to get 1,000 points in one playthrough.

The only redeeming feature of the game is the ability to walk around a variety of the locations in Lost.

Unless you're after easy achievement points or you're a big fan or cut scenes I just wouldn't bother. The only difficulty in the game is navigating through dark caves, and it's not great.

The graphics are OK but not enough to make the game worthwhile.

I finished the story in 3 hours, and got 800 or so achievement points with little effort. I won't be replaying to get the rest!

It's not the worst thing I've played, but I definately wouldn't consider buying it.

Now hold on people who shun this game for being terrible:

Have you actually played it?

i at first wanted to play the games for the achievements, and actually found the game quite good.

The chase scenes with the fog are suprisingly scary and in the last event hard, seeming as you have to walk with dynamite as he chases you (not saying why)

The game consists of solving puzzles, escaping the fog, and near the end, a small bit of shooting. The visuals on the game are stunning, the island is really brought to life with the brilliant graphics and i am over all impressed.

Unlike most people i am not dissapointed by the voice acting: seeming as ive never seen the show in my life.

Overall, good game. but not the best ive ever played.

Keep your expectations low and you may not be too disappointed with this game. I actually rated the game 2.5 because I didn't expect it to be anything special..it wasn't. Just like most movie tie-in games, this could have been a good game if the potential had been realised but, it is basically just cashing in on the Lost success and is a poor excuse for a game. If you enjoyed Lost then you might find some small interest in the game, otherwise avoid it!

Buzzer from Northallerton , 26/06/2008

I am a major fan of Lost, and that was why i chose this as one to rent regardless of the reviews.

However this is a very easy, short and repetetive game. The fan enjoyment factor wears off quickly leaving a very poor quality of game. I like the way they incoporated the feeling of the show with the flashbacks and the general confusion that you get when you watch it. I just think they could have done more, for example not having the 'Previously on Lost' videos that show before each Episode/Chapter unskippable. Also It would have been nice if some of the extra things you do unlocked clips from the show. More voice talent from the show would have been good as well. The graphics are good, but that only goes so far.

All in all, fans will probably enjoy this game somewhat everyone else probably won't be all that impressed.

What a game!!! If you are a fan of the series, then you will love this game!!! Good gfx, easy game play & amazing story line (that ties in nice with series 1 & 2).

Only downside to the game is the length. It took less than 5 hours to complete & get 50 / 50 achievements.

PikeyDentist from Swansea , 29/04/2008

As the game stands, its an average frustrating effort with repetitive puzzle play and dialogue. However, if you play this as a fan of the series, (as I am) you can look beyond it and spend alot of the time reminiscing over the first two seasons of LOST as you encounter these iconic areas.

The game itself is structured into 7 Episodes each beautifully presented with stunning graphics and title sequences direct from TV. It always gave me a wry smile and I never tired of it.

And tired of it, you won't get. It is incrdibly short work in completing this game. Previous reviewers stated around 4 hours, I took my time and got all but 3 achievements in one play and pretty much spoke to everyone I could. It took me just under six hours!!

Don't buy this game unless you want it purley as a collectors piece - but def worth a rent as over 900 achievement points are easily obtained.

Review writing doesn't give me the option to offer half stars, but my preferred rating is 3 1/2.

A Real Cash in opertunity, and im so glad i never fell for it. .

It has a confusing story and I often had no idea who was who and what was going on. The game is short and here is the saving grace, for those who chase achievements. You can, as I did, get all 1000 points in just under 4 hours, that puts it up there with NBA 2k6, and Open Season, but not quite Avatar.

Judging the game for what it is and removing my Lost-tinted spectacles..... It's really bad. Any points added for the 'Lost factor' are immediately cancelled out by how badly the license has been used. Actors sound like they were woken up in the middle of the night to read their lines out over the phone..... Easy points are the only reason you'd play this - but it's not a fun way to rack them up.....

This is a good game. The graphics are good but the people do not actually look too much like the real actors. The best likness is Locke but the worst has to be Jack. The voice over is not very good. It took me about 5 hours to complete the game with all 1000 points. Rent this if you are a fan of lost and would like some easy points, if you are not a fan and don't care too much about points then don't rent it. If the game was longer I think that I may not have completed it because the story was not that great, however, it was only a short game and I found myself playing just for the points.
