    From start to finish THOSE MAGNIFICENT MEN IN THEIR FLYING MACHINES is a cracking film. For my money the star of the movie is Terry Thomas. He only has to say 'You rotten shower!' And I crack up. As for the music I am trying to learn the lyrics to sing to my daughter.

    Set in the years before World War 1, when aviation was in its infancy a London Newspaper owner puts up a prize of £10,000 for an air race from London to Paris. The competition attracts aviators from around the world. There are all manner of goings on and although James Fox and Sarah Miles and their love story maybe the stars of the film, as with a number of British films of that era it is often the co-stars who steal the show. As for instance Terry Thomas at his incomparable best and Gert Frobe as the leader of the German entry.

    How could anyone not love it. It has Terry Thomas in it!!!
