    Nice angle I thought, you can see how Will wants to keep things positive with his daughter yet she knows they are getting a divorce; so will he rethink his life? Rachel Weisz is a bit underused and Emily doesn't have much too her, but otherwise I thought Ryan Reynolds was suitably conflicted and Abigail Brolin unmannered.

    The backdrop of politicians (Bill Clinton among them) trying to maintain public respectability while people themselves try to do the right thing is nice, as is the unglamorous life of a party campaigner.

    And it doesn't try to make a 'happily ever after' ending, there's just a door of opportunity opening, people a little wiser.
