    Hokey special effects, but -
    * * *dead-handsome ;-) vampire with a killer smile and smooth moves
    * * *gormless yet brave hero;
    * * *lovely maiden in distress (in this particular case, a _horny_ maiden in distress! You truly can't say better than that.)
    * * *enjoyable soundtrack
    * * *Mr Weirdo himself, Roddy McDowall, camping it up, as usual...

    So tell me. What's not to like?
