Summer Athletics 2009 on Xbox 360

Having played the previous game in the series 'Summer Athletics', I found that to be a poor budget game although providing frustration btu some fun as well. I was hoping this game would be a great improvement but was incredibly wrong.
The graphics are the same. So are the menus and they have added only a few new event types. Also if it matters to you, the achievements are similar to last year but harder to obtain. The game assumes you will be spending a lot of time on it!
As for both games, the carear involves giving you a series of events to participate in with your bad stat starting character. To train them up you will need to do the same carear mode several times which is bound to involve many events you don't really like doing anyway. It's one big grind.
In addition, the loading screen was fun the first few times in the old game (a dancing monkey) but it just gets irratating. You would have thought this game be fun in short bursts with friends but waiting for ages while you replay an event you already did is irritating. 4 out of 4 people found this review helpful
