The Reason I Own This Game , 13 October 2009

I thought I would add a review here as I currently have this game at home and have completed it myself. I first saw the trailer for the game, the beauty of power with a great clip from a song by 'If These Trees Could Talk - Malabar Front'.

As said in the review below as soon as you select start this game literally opens with a boom, you find yourself in a particular situation which is a slight introduction to the game and cole. After this short and interesting opening you then get taken to a fantastic comic strip with some great voice acting that gives some more information to the player and sets you up for Cole's present day. From there you are pretty much open to most of the city area where you can some Mirror's Edge/Base Jumping style movements around the building roof tops and objects around the city (ranging from lamp posts to rail tracks). The setting for the game is quite like a Resident Evil style city but without all the Zombies, sort of like a Grand Theft Auto city that's been laid waste too or allowed to fall to pieces.

Anyways, as Cole you begin the adventure as someone with powers which you learn more about as you go on. The game also has the fantastic choice/karma system where you can decide which type of person you want to be.. Famous or inFamous.. so many twists that just makes this a game you feel you will need to play again and again just to see if this makes any different to your game experience! The movements are easy to use, as said before the Assassin's Creed style scaling of buildings with the challenge of using the different powers you get to the best of your ability to achieve your goals or defeat an enemy. There are plenty exciting moments of game play as well as twists in the story that makes this a hard game not to put down so I suggest you rent this, then perhaps look to buy on the cheap afterwards just to explore all this game has to offer.

That being said, I look forward to more from the same Developers.
