My Blueberry Nights

This is not Wong Kar Wei's best film, but it's interesting to see him bring his dreamy direction to English language cinema. The film is let down by Law's gurning, overstated performance, and by the too familiar Americana that decorates the story. That said, I'm a sucker for both Americana and Kar Wei's slow romances, so I enjoyed it despite its imperfections.
