    I d just read the book and wanted to compare. The film of course misses loads out from the book which was somewhat comical.
    This film has not aged well, that is if it were ever very good in the first place.It is a surprisingly poor production for the BBC almost amateur in certain scenes.
    However I enjoyed watching it even from a more comical point of view having read the book. If you have read the book you may enjoy it, however if you have not you may find it rather dull and poorly produced.
