Batman: Arkham Asylum
on PS3
Certificate:
I was waiting for this game since the moment I heard about it. I literally couldn't wait so when I saw it on it's way to me I was very excited. From the moment I put it in my PS3 I was in love. This game is an absolute masterpiece and should be a rental to any Batman fan or non fan. Visually this game is stunning, from the buildings to the enemies. You'll see some amazing landscapes in this game, good enough to say they look realistic. Batman's suit looks great and you'll see the damage on the suit as time goes on. Enemies look pretty decent as well, whether it be Joker or a random thug, they all look great. Ivy was nicely done as well. The asylum is huge and allows you to really explore the are freely so you're not confined to one small building like other games. Combat, wow is all you can really say. The freeflow combat system is simply wonderful. Moving from one thug to anotherm, using counters and a vast array of Batman's gadgets at your disposal. Story is another great part of this game. This could easily be turned into a movie, that's how it really is. Each villain is given so much character, rather than just a little piece here and there. I found this really great to be honest. I'm fed up of games that give you little insight as to what you're doing and find yourself bored. This game delivers an amazing story =D Another great thing about this game is the extras, running around solving riddles, collecting trophies and then the great combat challenges and predator challenges. So with this, the game allows you to play for hours on end without running out of things to do. I will flaw it, I hated the loading times, going from one side of the asylum to another would sometimes cause loading times, yes I'm impatient like that. The lip sync on the game isn't very good either, but you can get passed that so it won't be a problem. So all in all, a must rent and hope you enjoy the game as much as I did.
