So, Matthew Vaughan the producer of countless Guy Ritchie films decides to give directing his own cockney drug/crime/caper movie a go. He selects Daniel Craig over Jason Statham as his lead as a smart wise-cracking middle man in the moving 'products' business - score. Daniel Craig fits the role perfectly, adding an air of sophistication to the role. Whether this is his acting or a well written part is for you to decide. The film upholds that sophistication in its narrative. The typical drug deal plan involving many parties and getting twisted in a crazy tale is enjoyable, it fits the Guy Ritchie mould but does feel fresh enough to not be a copy.
Well worth watching - far better than the trying to be too clever Revolver.
