  The opening scene of this film was played by Werner Herzog at a talk I saw him do last week. It shows Brando at his best and sets the scene of the film and character beautifully. This is Brando in his prime but overall the film lacks a bit of direction which I found surprising given the stature of the Director (On the Waterfront, Streetcar..)
